Democratic officials regularly bend themselves backward to show how much they care about any other citizens than Americans. If we cannot be useful to them, we do not matter.
On Thursday, Rep. Elise Stefanik (R-NY) rightly chastised Gov. Kathy Hochul (D-NY) for her disgusting treatment of law-abiding Americans by forcing their children to stay out of school (again) so that this time, she could cram all the classrooms with illegal immigrants to sleep there rather than ship them back to the unknown number of countries they came from. Hochul claims she “continues to advocate for the people of New York,” but she continues to blame the migrant crisis in New York on anything but herself.
That same day, Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas opted out of having to face the consequences of his actions at his second impeachment hearing. He has been under fire lately for absolutely failing to maintain any semblance of control over our southern border.
At the hearing, witness Tammy Nobles gave a harrowing account of the fate of her daughter, who was raped and killed by an illegal MS-13 gang member. Witness Josephine Dunn stated, “Whatever he’s doing, I hope it’s more important.” It wasn’t. Mayorkas conveniently scheduled a meeting with officials in Mexico during his own impeachment hearing. Imagine taking responsibility for one’s actions. Couldn’t be a Democrat.
This sort of blatant disregard for the well-being of citizens is nothing new to Democrats. President Joe Biden made an interesting statement in a meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on Sept. 21 last year: “And, Mr. President, the American people — Democrats and Republicans alike, families all across our nation — understand what Ukraine is fighting to defend, what generations of Americans have also stepped up to protect and preserve. It’s pretty basic: freedom, liberty, and sovereignty.”

That last word is a bit intriguing: “sovereignty.” It’s pretty basic, apparently. Even Democrats can understand it. Like American sovereignty, right? Apparently, it’s not so basic to them. Biden and the Democratic Party froth at the mouth at the idea of spending tens of billions of taxpayer dollars each year to support the sovereignty of a nation of citizens they’ve likely never heard of, but when Republicans request a fraction of that funding to be spent to defend American citizens from foreign invasions, they reject them.
It is difficult to derive from this behavior whether Democratic officials get a kick out of hurting Americans for their own gain, or they simply overeager xenophiles. One thing is for certain: If the subject of interest is a foreign national, the American citizen could matter less to them.
