Biden isn’t even trying to slow the flow of immigrants across the border

A lot is being made of President Joe Biden mistakenly praising the Congressional Black Caucus at an event honoring the Congressional Hispanic Caucus. And Biden’s declining mental abilities are worrisome.
But what is far more worrisome were his substantive remarks about his administration’s plan to “fix the broken immigration system.”
BLAME BIDENOMICS FOR UAW STRIKE
A reported 10,000 immigrants are illegally crossing the southern border every day, forcing not just border communities to declare a state of emergency, but big blue Democratically controlled cities as well, including New York, Chicago, and Washington, D.C.
When the previous administration was in power, just 1,000 immigrants were illegally crossing the southern border every day. If we want to solve the border crisis, we must stem the flow of immigrants coming across the border. But that isn’t even a goal of the immigration agenda Biden outlined on Thursday.
“First, we put in place policies that process people in a fair and fast way,” Biden said.
“Second, we’re significantly expanding legal pathways for entry so businesses can get the workers they need,” Biden continued. “I’ve also directed my team to make a historic increase in the number of refugees admitted from Latin America.
“Third, for supporting states and cities that have seen a surge, we’ve developed federal experts and deployed them to help train city workers,” Biden said. “We’ve already delivered over $1 billion to states and cities receiving immigrants.”
Finally, Biden added, “Given the poor conditions in Venezuela, Secretary Mayorkas announced temporary protection for hundreds of thousands of Venezuelans already in the country. These migrants will be able to apply for work permits.”
This is, apparently, Biden’s four-point plan to fix the border crisis he created. 1) Process immigrants who illegally cross the border into the country faster; 2) Increase other ways for immigrants to enter the country; 3) Give cities and states more resources to deal with more immigrants; and 4) Give immigrants work permits.

None of these policies is even remotely designed to decrease, let alone stop, the record numbers of immigrants entering the country right now. In fact, all of them will do the exact opposite.
Democratic leaders across the country are shouting at Biden, telling him their communities are at the breaking point and can’t take any more immigrants. Biden doesn’t seem to care. Apparently, he is just going to make it even easier for immigrants to come and dare Democrats to vote against him.
