According to MSNBC, if you exercise and work out, you’re a Nazi

It is arguably one of the most absurd titles for an article ever written. Yet, sadly, it’s also indicative of how unhinged many people on the Left really are. On the MSNBC Twitter account, the left-wing media organization tweeted, “The far right’s obsession with fitness is going digital.” It included a link to an opinion article titled, “Why the far-right is really into home fitness.”

It’s yet another stunning example of the deranged minds of many contemporary leftists. It raises the question: “How emotionally damaged are the people who believe this nonsense, and why does anyone support them?”

It goes on to elaborate on the author’s views of why working out and caring about physical fitness should be linked to right-wing extremism. But the absurdity didn’t stop there. She said you’re also a Nazi if you practice or engage in any kind of combat sports or martial arts. Consider the opinion piece’s opening paragraph.

“It appears the far right has taken advantage of pandemic at-home fitness trends to expand its decade-plus radicalization of physical mixed martial arts (MMA) and combat sports spaces,” Cynthia Miller-Idriss wrote. The author then links fitness, training, and martial arts (and, one might think, doing anything except dying one’s hair blue and screaming vulgarities at anyone who disagrees) as “central to the far right.”

Even Elon Musk found the tweet ridiculous enough to comment on it.

The author then quoted and referenced Mein Kampf as evidence to support her thesis — a radical move given that nearly every liberal, Democrat, and left-winger emphatically established the precedent that if you are someone who quotes Adolf Hitler to make a point, then you are a Nazi. After all, that was the logic used in a wave of criticism against Moms for Liberty, including recent comments made by Gov. Gavin Newsom (D-CA). It’s apparently permissible if the Left quotes and references Hitler — yet another example of its deceptive propaganda and standards.

Additionally, the author further disparaged physical fitness and martial arts as tools used mainly by racists to train themselves to impose their racism and Nazism on innocent people around the world. It reads more like satire or parody than legitimate commentary. Suffice it to say, it’s a weird, odd, and disturbing world these leftists live in.

“The intersection of extremism and fitness leans into a shared obsession with the male body, training, masculinity, testosterone, strength and competition,” the author wrote. “Physical fitness training, especially in combat sports, appeals to the far right for many reasons: fighters are trained to accept significant physical pain, to be ‘warriors,’ and to embrace messaging around solidarity, heroism, and brotherhood.”

There are other numerous baffling, ridiculous, and absurd links made in the article. However, even stranger is that the article was originally written in March 2022. Yet, for some reason, the people that run MSNBC’s Twitter account felt it made sense to randomly tweet an absurdly, illogical, and ridiculous article nearly 15 months after it was initially published.

The Left has routinely demonstrated it is little more than a conglomeration of agenda-driven bullies who, at their core, are unhinged fanatics, and this article is an example of that. It routinely embraces inflammatory double standards and holds views of the world that are not grounded in any semblance of reality. Its cult-like behavior is dangerous and indicative of everything wrong with contemporary left-wing politics. Human civilization needs to stop taking these people seriously.
