Younger voters, particularly younger female voters, helped deliver the Democrats control of the Senate and keep their loss in the House to a minimum.

According to a survey conducted by the Democratic firm Global Strategy Group and its research project, Navigator, the Democrats dominated Republicans among Gen Z voters and Millenials. And they were especially dominant among women in both cohorts.

Women ages 18–29 backed Democrats over Republicans 58% to 35%, a margin of 23 percentage points. Democratic candidates for Senate did even better, beating Republicans among women ages 18–29 64% to 32%, a margin of 32 points.
