President Donald Trump is hosting the showcase for the Freedom 250 Grand Prix around Washington, D.C.
The race itself is scheduled for Aug. 22-23, but Trump will hold a showcase on Monday, scheduled to begin at 1:30 p.m.
He will host the showcase with NTT IndyCar Series champion Alex Palou, along with other top racers and officials. The showcase is meant to give a sneak peek of the race, which is slated to take place near several of Washington, D.C.’s most iconic landmarks.
The race is being held by Freedom 250, the organization founded by Trump to coordinate celebrations for the U.S.’s 250th anniversary.
