With the 2024 presidential election in the bag, it’s time to start talking 2028.

Less than 12 hours after the Republican ticket of President-elect Donald Trump and Vice President-elect J.D. Vance pulled off an historic election, oddsmakers have started taking bets on the 2028 race.
Right now, they consider Vance a lock for the Republican nomination and favor California Gov. Gavin Newsom as the Democratic pick. And Vance is the odds-on pick to win and succeed Trump.

Newsom, said Bookies.com veteran oddsmaker Adam Thompson, “combines Hollywood-good-looks, political savvy, and the potential to raise the billions of dollars it will take to win this election.”
