Whoopi Goldberg tore into the claim that “elements of Critical Race Theory” are taught to elementary school students on Thursday’s episode of The View.

“I’m going to say this one more time,” she warned. “Elements of Critical Race Theory are not taught to 5-year-olds.”

“It’s not taught to 8-year-olds,” she continued. “It’s not taught to 10-year-olds … listen, if you’re scared of American history, I don’t get it.”

Goldberg’s claim was in response to Alyssa Farah Griffin, who noted that some Republicans were concerned about CRT’s proliferation in elementary education.

While Goldberg insists that no elements of CRT are being taught, undercover investigations across the country have revealed the covert methods used by individual districts, schools, and administrators to inject the theory into the curriculum.

Watchdog organization Accuracy in Media has released footage from undercover investigations in states such as Ohio, Utah, Idaho, and Tennessee, unveiling some of the various ways CRT is included, even when there are laws against it.

“If you’re so concerned that white children are going to feel bad because history happened and they happen to be white, how do you think black kids are feeling?” Goldberg later asked.

According to the host, “The reason that black history has come into the zeitgeist, the reason Asian history is coming into the zeitgeist … is because nobody was represented.”

As the hosts continued to discuss the policy moves by Govs. Ron DeSantis (R-FL) and Sarah Huckabee Sanders (R-AR), Griffin, a self-proclaimed Republican, and former Trump administration staffer, claimed that the Florida governor is “erasing history.”

“This is straight up saying ‘we’re not going to learn about slavery,’ ‘we’re not going to learn about the Civil War,'” she continued.

DeSantis recently blocked an Advanced Placement African American studies course in his state, prompting backlash. It should be noted that both slavery and the Civil War are taught in Florida schools outside of the AP course.
