Florida has enacted strong “Stand Your Ground” legislation.

If someone is in his or her home or occupied vehicle, they maintain the right to “stand their ground” and use or threaten to use deadly force if there is a reasonable belief that such force is necessary to stop death, severe bodily harm, or an action that would constitute a forcible felony.
