Massachusetts has resorted to mobilizing the National Guard to address the arrival of illegal immigrants as Democrat-run cities and states continue to collapse in the face of a border crisis they have ignored for too long.

Massachusetts deployed National Guard members as “rapid response teams” to 40 hotels and motels to coordinate meals, medical care, and transportation for the illegal immigrants arriving in the state. There are more than 6,000 illegal immigrant families in Massachusetts’s emergency shelters, with 20-35 families seeking shelter every day.

EVIDENCE OF BIDEN’S WRONGDOING IS CONSIDERABLE

This comes one month after Gov. Maura Healey (D-MA) declared a state of emergency over the “rapid and unabating increases in the number of families with children and pregnant people” arriving in the state. The state’s lieutenant governor now says that “All of our typical emergency shelter sites were filled a month ago.” In one example of just how dire the situation is, the state opened Joint Base Cape Cod as a temporary shelter in June, only to have it “filled up within two days.”

Are Massachusetts’s Democratic leaders and the leaders of its eight sanctuary cities now ready to admit that encouraging illegal immigrants to flock to the southern border is destructive to border communities that have been overwhelmed by this for years? Are they ready to start demanding that President Joe Biden stop insisting that the border is secure and that there is no crisis? Those are questions that Healey and others should be forced to answer in between National Guard deployments and emergency orders.

If Massachusetts Democrats are not interested in answering those questions, then it only makes sense that Texas should continue to send illegal immigrants their way. After all, Massachusetts signed up to be a sanctuary during a border crisis, and this is what that reality looks like.
