Biden’s family man image was always a fraudulent political narrative

Legacy media are trying to salvage President Joe Biden’s family man image, but the reality is that he has exploited his family for political gain for his entire political career.
Biden decided finally to acknowledge his 4-year-old granddaughter in a throwaway statement to People magazine as he headed out for a 10-day vacation. The embarrassing saga of Biden denying the existence of that little girl, including hanging up Christmas stockings for a dog instead of her and repeatedly saying he only had six grandchildren instead of seven, was ugly and despicable. Now, legacy media are trying to defend Biden’s cruelty, including retconning old stories on the topic.

Among those excuses being offered for Biden is that he waited for the “green light” from his son Hunter Biden to acknowledge the little girl’s existence. NBC called it an “improbable twist” that Biden would have to explain why he would shun his seventh granddaughter because he is “a president who has wrapped himself in family throughout his career.”
But that is the problem. Biden has “wrapped himself in family throughout his career” as a political calculation, an attempt to fabricate an image of him as good ol’ Uncle Joe. The truth is that, in the political sphere, Biden has used his family for political gain. Biden repeatedly spread unsubstantiated rumors that the man involved in the car wreck that killed his first wife and daughter in 1972 was drunk. Not only was there no evidence to indicate that, but the evidence indicated that the man he was smearing was not the one at fault in the tragic wreck.
Biden used that rumor addressing the families of victims of the 9/11 terrorist attacks and during his run for president in 2008, and only apologized and acknowledged that “these rumors were false” after he became President Barack Obama’s vice president in 2009. Biden has also repeatedly claimed that his son Beau Biden died in Iraq, which is false. The families of U.S. service members killed in a suicide bombing attack during Biden’s botched withdrawal from Afghanistan also said he repeatedly brought up his own son during their conversations.
And then there is this issue, where Biden apparently thought that his drug-addicted son fathering a child with a stripper would be a political liability for him. Therefore, he regularly bragged about how he loved his six grandchildren while he pretended the seventh one did not exist, simply because the circumstances of her birth would be inconvenient for a lifelong political elitist such as Biden.

A real family man would have told his deadbeat son to take care of his daughter, but Joe Biden did not do that. Instead, he waited four years after the girl’s birth (and three years after Hunter Biden’s paternity was confirmed) before getting “permission” to acknowledge her. And he did so in a throwaway statement to People right before a vacation so no one could ask him about it.
Without even getting into the family corruption, Biden has exploited his family for political gain for his entire career. It is not “improbable” that he would be in this situation. His family-focused image was carefully cultivated as a political tool, and this despicable story has exposed it for even many in the media who for years bought the charade hook, line, and sinker.
