House Intelligence Committee Chairman Mike Turner (R-OH) spoke out about the handling of classified documents by former President Donald Trump and President Joe Biden.

Turner compared both situations during an appearance Sunday on CNN’s State of the Union but said Trump’s storage of the documents is “of grave concern.”

“I can tell you from having looked at both of those documents, I have grave concerns about both of those type of documents being out in an unsecured place,” Turner told anchor Jake Tapper.

“Both of them included details of national security issues that should not have been outside of a controlled environment,” Turner added.

Trump was indicted earlier this month, with the charges being unsealed by the Justice Department the next day. The former president has maintained his innocence and entered a not-guilty plea in the classified documents case at a federal courthouse in Miami last week.
