Joe Biden speaks on the anniversary of the Uvalde school shooting

President Joe Biden will deliver his remarks on the one-year anniversary of the school shooting in Uvalde, Texas, which killed 19 students and two teachers at Robb Elementary School.

Biden is expected to call for more gun control on the anniversary of the shooting during his 3:30 p.m. address from the White House.

White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre said on Tuesday that Congress should “do more” regarding gun laws amid the anniversary of the shooting.

“While he’s very appreciative of what Congress was able to do, there’s so much more to be done,” Jean-Pierre said. “We need to see Congress do something more, do more, put forward some commonsense gun reform. That’s what these families deserve. That’s what they should be able to see.”
