Joe Concha suggests Karine Jean-Pierre’s low book sales are due to ‘credibility’ problem

.

Washington Examiner Senior Writer Joe Concha mocked former White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre for the “hard” accomplishment of selling just over 20,000 copies of her book, Independent, on Amazon.

“She has been on every network that isn’t Fox News over the last five days, getting ample time, where we’re talking ABC, CNN, MSNBC, and to still be at 24,000 shows you that there may be a problem here as far as Karine Jean-Pierre’s credibility,” Concha said on Fox News’s Hannity Tuesday. “She’s a pathological liar; she lied to the public for all those years when she was press secretary.”

“Twenty-four thousand on Amazon. Boy, that’s a hard thing to do when you’re on five major networks for five days and still everyone is saying ‘I don’t want to be part of this,’” Concha added, referring to the number of Independent copies sold as of Tuesday.

During her media tour, Jean-Pierre has stood by former President Joe Biden, claiming that she “never saw anyone who wasn’t there” but instead saw Biden as “someone who was always engaged.”

Jean-Pierre has faced pushback from even ardent Biden supporters. While interviewing Jean-Pierre Monday, late-night talk show host Stephen Colbert described Biden during the time of his presidential debate last year as a “dramatically different person” than he was earlier in his campaign. Jean-Pierre admitted Biden had “aged,” which affected his debate performance with Trump.

This contrasts with former Vice President Kamala Harris, who has seen significantly higher book sales of her book, 107 Days, in which she openly questions Biden’s mental acuity. Publisher Simon & Schuster reported that the book sold over 350,000 copies in its first week, resulting in a fifth printing of hardcover copies.

Harris expressed her regret in not vocally opposing Biden’s decision to run for reelection, writing, “the stakes were simply too high.”

“This wasn’t a choice that should have been left to an individual’s ego, an individual’s ambition,” Harris wrote of Biden.
