The former president and 2024 candidate will answer questions directly from Collins, as well as from audience members. The audience will be made up of “New Hampshire Republican and undeclared voters who say they intend to vote in the New Hampshire Republican presidential primary.”

According to a press release from CNN: “This event with former President Trump will be the first of many for CNN in the coming months as CNN correspondents travel across the country to hear directly from voters in the runup to the 2024 presidential election.”

Also on Monday, Trump announced he would be holding a campaign rally in Des Moines, Iowa, on May 13.

The former president held a rally in New Hampshire last week, where he retired the “crooked Hillary” nickname for his 2016 foe. Instead, he bestowed the title on President Joe Biden.

“I’m going to retire the name ‘Crooked’ so that we can use the name for Joe Biden, because he’ll be known from now on as ‘Crooked Joe Biden,'” he told the crowd.

According to Morning Consult, Trump leads the 2024 Republican primary field, with 58%. The only other potential candidate who has reached double digits is Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-FL), who boasts 21%. DeSantis has not announced a bid for the White House in 2024, but he is expected to do so this summer.
