Sunday’s game between the Buffalo Bills and the Cleveland Browns has been relocated from Orchard Park, New York, to Detroit due to forecast inclement weather.

The NFL announced the game will still be played at 1 p.m. EST but will be played at Ford Field, where the Detroit Lions typically play.

“The decision to move the game from Highmark Stadium in Orchard Park, NY was done in consultation with the Buffalo Bills and local and state authorities as the region prepares for the storm,” the NFL said in a statement.

Some reports indicate Buffalo could receive as much as 5 feet of snow by Sunday morning, with Gov. Kathy Hochul (D-NY) calling the storm an “extreme event” Thursday.

The National Weather Service has issued warnings for the Orchard Park area, saying travel “will be very difficult to impossible” and “the heavy snow could also bring down some tree limbs and cause scattered power outages.”
