Former President Donald Trump proved he could handle delivering a lengthy address Tuesday evening, but the speech may have been a bit too long for some guests at his Mar-a-Lago club.

A video from ABC News reporter Olivia Rubin appears to show people being barred from leaving the ballroom as the former president was delivering his address announcing a 2024 presidential bid.

The speech, which was around one hour and four minutes long, received criticism from several former officials from the Trump administration for being “low energy” and “uninspiring.”

Trump is expected to face a formidable slate of challengers for the Republican nomination for president, with several megadonors already saying they will back Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis over Trump. DeSantis, who won reelection in the Sunshine State by nearly 20 points last week, has not announced whether or not he will run for president in 2024.
