DeSantis signs bill to expose Epstein and his friends

Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-FL) is challenging the “deep state” by threatening to expose its involvement in what may turn out to be the largest sex scandal in modern history.

DeSantis signed a bill designed to unveil a decade’s worth of grand jury documents held in Palm Beach, Florida, that the federal government wanted to keep secret, exposing even more details and evidence regarding wealthy financier and pedophile sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein.

“The public deserves to know who participated in Jeffrey Epstein’s sex trafficking,” DeSantis said Thursday. “Nobody should be protected from facing justice due to their wealth or status, and those who harm children should be exposed and punished to the fullest extent of the law.

“This was a massive, massive operation that was targeting these very young girls, and to not have justice on this is something that has been a big black spot on our justice system,” the governor lamented. “Nothing else has ever happened with any of this. How is that possible given the magnitude of what was going on?”

Evidence of Epstein’s connections with high-status people has been hindered by the government’s deliberate involvement in refusing to disclose it, hiding and protecting those powers that may be torn down by what it reveals about them. The truth has been slowly coming to light over the past few years since Epstein’s death.

In 2006, several underage girls came forward with claims that Epstein trafficked, molested, and sexually assaulted them. Palm Beach officers charged him for such claims, but the decision was taken up the ladder to a federal prosecutor who gave him a guilty plea deal in 2008 that put him on a comfortable work-release schedule for barely over one year.

In 2019, Epstein was again charged on similar grounds and thrown in jail, where he was awaiting a trial that would have exposed him and his allies in the “deep state.” Conveniently, he died by suicide beforehand, and his death was definitely not a homicide by operatives working for higher powers in government.

In 2021, Epstein’s girlfriend and partner-in-crime, Ghislaine Maxwell, was arrested and charged with sex trafficking minors. In January 2024, her trial produced several documents showing an extensive list of powerful people who had some connection to Epstein, including Prince Andrew and the Clintons.

In 2023, Sen. Marsha Blackburn (R-TN) accused the FBI of colluding with Epstein’s allies in the government to hide the truth, saying the FBI director “kind of punted when I asked him of why they did not respond to these victims and survivors and why they did not move forward with that investigation.” A dozen of Epstein’s victims are suing the FBI for not tackling the problem despite having evidence and reports since the beginning.

DeSantis called out the federal government for its role in the cover-up scheme as well.

“How did the case get taken out of state court and taken to federal, where he got a slap on the wrist?” he asked. “And the federal government, Biden should release the Epstein files associated with the federal government, which is probably much more extensive.”

The 2006 grand jury documents will be released on July 1. Perhaps this can help uproot the “deep state” forces that are still well-entrenched in political and economic life, given how reluctant the government has been to address anything related to Epstein.
