The Chinese government may have found a much easier way to undermine America from within: by infiltrating its open southern borders.
Chinese immigrants are now the fastest-growing number of illegal nationals breaking into the United States. They fly into Latin American countries that allow for easier entrance by Chinese nationals, such as Mexico and Ecuador. They then meet up with “snakeheads” in Mexico and pay them $400 to get driven to the American southern border. Finally, they get dropped off at one of several breach locations and cross through by the dozens.
According to the Executive Office for Immigration, 55% of Chinese nationals are granted asylum upon entry into America, a percentage that far exceeds that of most other countries. Evident causes stem from the political tension and crackdown that has been steadily increasing in China over the past few years.
The American border crisis has reached its apex this year, and it shows no signs of stopping. According to the Committee on Homeland Security, the Biden administration has happily invited 7.5 million illegal immigrants to come over to our doors since President Joe Biden took office. In fiscal 2023 alone, over 35,000 illegal immigrants were apprehended who already had criminal convictions, and over 27,000 pounds of lethal fentanyl was confiscated.
Foreign nationals are incentivized and encouraged to enter America illegally by Democratic policies that are incredibly weak on crime, give them free amenities at the expense of the tax dollars and livelihoods of the lawful American citizenry, and demonize support for legal immigration. This, of course, is intended to curry favor with the millions of illegal immigrants Democrats let in so that they can get their votes, as is evident with their hotly contested national security bill.
The public is very aware of the crisis on its border and the problems it has been creating. Unfortunately, so is China. It is not out of the question to assume that the notoriously devious and hostile Chinese government plans to and already may be exploiting the breaches in the American southern border to undermine American interests as tensions between the two great powers continue to mount.
Recent discoveries about the rising wave of Chinese illegal immigrants make this claim all the more likely. Many of them enter relatively well-dressed and carrying nice suitcases and handbags. Several have admitted to being financially middle class and others to having college degrees. TikTok is the way that most of them learned how to get to the border. Several Chinese clips there offer step-by-step instructions on how to get through the defenses of Beijing’s greatest rival.

China has been attempting to infiltrate the U.S. and wreak havoc in other ways even this year. On Wednesday, FBI Director Christopher Wray emphasized the gravity of America’s cyber situation by explaining how Chinese government hackers are “positioning on American infrastructure in preparation to wreak havoc and cause real-world harm to American citizens and communities, if or when China decides the time has come to strike.”
If the People’s Republic of China truly intends to take advantage of Democrats’ disarming of America’s southern border to infiltrate the nation, it would gain a significant advantage over it in a future conflict.
