Fewer people believe Christmas should be celebrated in public schools today than 10 years ago

When Thanksgiving ends, and as the calendar turns from November to December, this annual tradition also brings forth another round in the culture war surrounding Christmas.
Many on the Left abhor the spread of the impact of the Christmas holiday and take action to try to minimize Christmas’ impact and influence. For example, events that once were referred to with “Christmas” in their name, such as “Christmas concert” or, in Philadelphia’s case, “Christmas tree,” now have “Winter” or “Holiday” instead.

These socio-political manipulations have had an impact. Fewer people believe Christmas should be observed in public schools today than in recent years. In 2013, Rasmussen Reports found that “75% of American Adults think Christmas should be celebrated in public schools.” At the time, 15% of respondents disagreed, and 10% were unsure. This increased slightly in 2015 when Rasmussen found that 76% approved of Christmas in public schools. Support remained as high with Rasmussen polls until 2021.
However, a recent Rasmussen poll showed a 9% decrease in those who supported Christmas in public schools. This year’s poll found that only 69% of adults believe “Christmas should be celebrated in public schools.” The survey reflected a slight increase in those who disagreed, compared to 2013, with 16% disagreeing. The number of respondents who were “not sure” increased to 14% in 2023, compared to just 10% ten years ago.
It’s indicative of the societal shift resulting from the Left’s war on Christmas.
Under the guise of “inclusion,” left-wing ideologues have spent years trying to diminish the Christian holiday that celebrates the birth of Christ. Proponents will say this is done to foster what they consider a more inclusive environment in December. Of course, such a notion is predicated on the belief that celebrating Christmas in a predominantly Christian country founded on Judeo-Christian principles is, for some reason, wrong.
It’s not and never has been, and such claims are little more than deflections to distract from the reality of the Left’s ambitions to reshape American culture and society.

But that is the Left’s ultimate objective. They implement “inclusion” by excluding what they dislike. And, slowly but surely, as the Rasmussen survey revealed about Christmas in public schools, their efforts are working. The number of people who believed Christmas should be celebrated in public schools roughly decreased in the ten years between 2013 and 2023.
One can only imagine what polls and surveys will be like in 2033.
