The rapid uptick in violent antisemitism since Hamas terrorists slaughtered 1,400 Israeli civilians last month has not drawn the same sanctimonious liberal media lectures about dangerous rhetoric as COVID did, primarily because liberal media won’t dare suggest Democratic politicians are to blame for anything.

New York City saw a 214% increase in antisemitic hate crimes in October 2023 when compared to October of last year, with more hate crimes against Jews than there were total hate crimes in the same period last year. When Israeli actress Gal Gadot organized a screening of the evidence of violence Hamas terrorists perpetrated against Jews on Oct. 7 to raise awareness for how vile the Palestinian massacre of Jews was, a mob of antisemites descended on the screening and assaulted peaceful Jewish protesters.

WHO’S IN AND WHO’S OUT: HERE’S THE SENATE STATE OF PLAY FOR 2024

After countless examples of violent antisemitic mobs assaulting and harassing Jews and clear warnings that these mobs would become more and more violent, 69-year-old Paul Kessler was killed after allegedly being struck in the head with a bullhorn by an antisemitic protester and hitting his head on the pavement. Antisemitic protesters at that scene were cheerleading for Adolf Hitler.

Yet there has been very little liberal media preening about dangerous rhetoric as Democratic politicians accuse Israel of ethnic cleansing and genocide or justify Hamas’s terrorist attacks against civilians. You don’t see many reporters grilling the White House or House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY) about the vile antisemitism from House members such as Reps. Rashida Tlaib (D-MI) or Ilhan Omar (D-MN). Everyone treats it like just another day on the job, to the point that 184 House Democrats voted against censuring Tlaib’s antisemitic lies and no one blinked an eye.

It’s markedly different from how liberal media hounded Republicans for anti-Asian hate crimes (that were primarily taking place in liberal cities such as New York City and San Francisco) during COVID. Some House Democrats went as far as to defend the Chinese government from criticism by claiming those criticisms were responsible for hate crimes in the United States. Do you see anyone hounding Rep. Ayanna Pressley (D-MA) for arguing against criticizing the Chinese government while her “Squad” colleagues lie about Israel bombing hospitals or committing genocide?

In fact, the liberal pressure being applied on Democratic politicians in the aftermath of Jews being slaughtered is to pander to Muslim voters and focus on “Islamophobia.” That is where the priorities lie.

In case you needed any confirmation that the liberal media lectures about anti-Asian hate crimes were simply convenient excuses for partisan attacks against Republicans, this is it. The slaughter of Jews in Israel and antisemitic mobs in the U.S. should be an easy opportunity for those same liberal media personalities to hold Democrats’ feet to the fire the way they did Republicans criticizing the Chinese Communist Party — at the very least. That they refuse to do so should tell you all you need to know.
