We need to talk about leaving the antisemitic, anti-American United Nations

There may be no organization that is more expensive and more useless for Americans than the United Nations, and there needs to be a serious discussion as to whether the United States should continue to fund it.
The Hamas assault on Israel featured terrorists raping, kidnapping, and murdering hundreds of civilians. More than 700 are already dead, including at least 11 Americans. So, how did the U.N. Human Rights Council respond to this? On Monday, the council held a moment of silence — but not for the Israeli civilians who were brutally slaughtered by terrorist animals. No, the “Human Rights Council” held a moment of silence for the “loss of innocent lives in the occupied Palestinian territory and elsewhere.”
BIDEN’S APPEASEMENT HAS ENCOURAGED IRAN’S TERRORIST AGENDA
Even the most charitable interpretation of this is that the Human Rights Council has no problem with Israeli civilians being raped and slaughtered. More than 700 were killed in what can only be described as a massacre, but the Human Rights Council only cares about the Palestinians who have been killed and who will be killed by Israel defending itself against Hamas.
And, of course, there is no mention of the fact that Hamas wants Palestinians to be killed and put in harm’s way, given that the terrorist organization uses them as human shields to try and play on Israel’s self-restraint and the gullibility of the global community that falls for such basic propaganda. Then again, the U.N. is notoriously antisemitic and targets Israel for condemnations more than China, Russia, Iran, North Korea, Saudi Arabia, and every other human rights abuser on the planet combined.
And that is not even the extent of the council’s problems this week. There is now a real possibility that Russia is going to rejoin the body after being expelled earlier this year for invading Ukraine. The fact that Russia was even a member at all, or that China currently is as well, should be a damning indictment of the “Human Rights Council,” but Russia being on the verge of rejoining amid its unprovoked assault on Ukraine is proof that the body is a waste.

And all of this is funded by billions in U.S. taxpayer dollars. The U.S. gave the U.N. $12.5 billion in 2021 alone, just for the body to empower Russia and China or slander Israel while proclaiming that all it has to offer is its “voice.”
That U.S. involvement in, and funding of, the U.N. is taken as a given is a disgrace. The U.N. is rotten to its core. There needs to be a serious national discussion about whether participating in it is worth the moral stain on our country.
