After a recent push to turn “Bidenomics” into a winning message, President Joe Biden may have hit the lowest point in his presidency yet in the polls. It is proof that everything Biden touches dies.

The decision to begin touting Bidenomics as a successful economic vision for the country was one driven by Biden’s own arrogance and his campaign’s desperation. Biden has been wildly unpopular ever since he botched the withdrawal from Afghanistan, an event that destroyed the fabricated narrative that Biden was both an extremely competent leader and a paragon of empathy.

We now know just what people think of Bidenomics courtesy of an ABC News-Washington Post poll: 44% of people believe they are worse off financially under the Biden administration, the highest number in 37 years. Biden’s approval rating on the economy sits at a dismal 30%.

The poll gets worse for Biden outside the scope of the economy as well. His handling of the immigration crisis has 23% approval. His overall job performance has 37% approval, with a whopping 56% of people disapproving. The poll showed that 62% of Democrats and Democratic-leaning independents want Biden replaced on the 2024 ticket, and 74% of people said Biden is too old for a second term, a number that keeps rising.

Worst of all for Biden, he trails former President Donald Trump in a head-to-head poll by 9 points, a gap that has grown wider since the last ABC News-Washington Post poll of the question. Obvious caveats apply, including that Trump’s numbers will drop when he is back in the spotlight and the focus of the Democratic media machine again and that the stink of Trump tanked the GOP in 2022 despite similar dismal polls from Biden, but one thing is crystal clear: People do not want Biden to be president.

Biden is considered a failure by the majority of the country. His biggest decisions, whether the botched withdrawal from Afghanistan or the Inflation Reduction Act that increased inflation, are recognized by voters as failures. Bidenomics is yet another failure. Everything Biden does is unpopular because he is simply a terrible, incompetent president.
