The Democratic Party’s reckless headfirst dive into forcing electric cars on people has come with a series of problems, including Biden administration officials having the police called on them for blocking charging stations with gas-powered vehicles.

Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm led a four-day road trip from North Carolina to Tennessee earlier this summer, which revealed a significant problem with the frantic push to have every driver in the country convert to electric vehicles. Despite planning the route in advance, the road trip ran into a problem with a lack of charging stations in Georgia. As a solution, Granholm’s team sent a gas-powered car ahead to reserve a charging spot for her.

BIDEN’S 9/11 BONANZA FOR IRAN

As it turned out, a lot of people were in need of charging stations at that time and were, of course, none too happy about a gas-powered car holding up a spot. Now, we know that one family called the police on Granholm’s team for taking up that spot because “the sign says you can’t park here unless you’re charging” and that Granholm’s team was “holding up a whole bunch of people who need to charge their cars.”

And that is how a grand promotional stunt for the Biden administration’s commitment to electric vehicles led to the police getting called on the energy secretary. It would be laughable were it not highlighting just how reckless the Democratic Party’s electric vehicle agenda has been. Granholm planned the entire route out in advance and still ended up in a scenario in which she would have to wait for an excessive time to charge were it not for a gas-powered car saving a spot for her and forcing everyone else to wait instead.

Now, consider that the Biden administration and Democratic-run states are pushing for the rapid transformation of American roadways from gas-powered cars to electric vehicles. Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg mocked people who were concerned about gas prices for not simply buying more expensive electric cars. California wants to force all residents into electric cars in the coming decade. And yet just 6% of car sales in 2022 were electric vehicles.

If Granholm ended up in such a ridiculous scenario despite meticulously planning this trip as a celebration of electric cars because there simply aren’t enough charging stations along the planned route, what would be the result of a rapid transition to electric vehicles across the country?

Much like the rapid push to wind and solar, at the expense of reliable energy sources, supposedly to “save the planet,” the rapid push to electric cars is not matching up with the timeline of reality. If even the energy secretary who is tasked with celebrating electric vehicles is willing to use a gas-powered car to help her skip the charging line, it is safe to say that the frantic push to have the entire country adopt electric vehicles will cause more problems than it solves.
