The budgets of Democratic cities and states aren’t the only ones suffering from the chaos caused by Biden’s border crisis. President Joe Biden’s catch-and-release border policies have proved to be such a worldwide magnet that the International Organization for Migration has awarded the United States-Mexico border the title of “world’s deadliest land migration route.”

Congratulations Joe and Kamala, you did it!

BIDEN’S 9/11 BONANZA FOR IRAN

According to the IOM report released Tuesday, the United Nations documented 566 deaths of immigrants on the U.S.-Mexico border in 2022, “making it the deadliest land route for migrants worldwide on record.”

The U.N. numbers track but do not match internal U.S. Customs and Border Protection data showing that immigrant deaths were set to exceed 700 in fiscal 2022 (Oct. 1, 2021, to Sept. 31, 2022), which would have been the deadliest year for the U.S.-Mexico border on record.

Immigrant advocates may say that Biden’s border policies are more humane than President Donald Trump’s, but the body counts tell a different story.

The highest death total, according to CBP, under Trump was just 247. The U.N. numbers also show far fewer immigrants died under Trump’s policies, with 419 immigrants dying in all of North America in 2019 before Trump lowered that number by implementing his Remain in Mexico policy. Immigrant deaths fell to 371 the following year.

As Axios admitted this week, “News about U.S. policies is known to spread quickly by word of mouth among smugglers and migrants.” The reason record high numbers of immigrants are coming to the United States, and dying along the way, is because their friends and families already here in the United States are telling them that if they come, Biden will let them in.

That’s the truth.

If the goal is decreasing immigrant deaths, and who doesn’t want to decrease immigrant deaths, then Biden should shut down his catch-and-release policies immediately by reinstating Remain in Mexico.
