President Biden doesn’t care about the border

President Joe Biden doesn’t care about the chaos at the U.S.-Mexico border. In the past, he has claimed to, but his actions speak louder than words. And now, if his actions weren’t damning enough, Biden’s remarks match his blasé attitude regarding the border crisis. Biden has essentially claimed that the border isn’t on his priority list.
Before departing for a trip to Arizona to give a speech at TSMC, a Taiwanese-based computer chips factory in Phoenix, Biden was asked if he would also be visiting the border, given the myriad of issues plaguing the area. Biden blew off the question and suggested it wasn’t necessary.
BORDER PATROL CHIEF BLAMES BIDEN FOR BORDER CRISIS
“Why go to a border state and not visit the border?” a reporter asked the president shortly before his departure.
“Because there are more important things going on,” Biden replied. “They are going to invest billions of dollars in a new enterprise in the state.”
So crime, murder, drug overdoses, and human trafficking take a back seat, according to the leader of the free world. Biden could visit the border in addition to giving his speech. He knows this; he just doesn’t care about it. It’s an embarrassing admission from an incompetent leader.
Biden blowing off visiting the border is almost as awful as his administration’s policies on border security. Consider what has transpired there since Biden took office. Over 5 million illegal immigrants have entered the country, according to Arizona’s Attorney General Mark Brnovich. Additionally, the number of drugs smuggled over the border is has hit dangerous levels. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, between April 2020 and March 2021, overdose deaths increased by nearly 33%. In most cases, the drugs that caused these deaths were smuggled illegally over the border from Mexico.
Furthermore, Biden’s abandonment of border security has also led to increased human trafficking at the border. Under his watch, “human traffickers are busier than ever.”
“The president has made it abundantly clear that his administration does not wish to stop illegal immigration, nor does it wish to enable necessary enforcement of the immigration laws that are on the books. It is factors such as these that drive large numbers of people to surge the border, overwhelming federal and local agencies and — most importantly — risking the lives of millions,” the Texas Public Policy Foundation claimed.

The border is a catastrophe, and the Biden administration is primarily to blame. Between ineffective policies, a “border czar” in Vice President Kamala Harris who ignores the border, and general apathy among Democrats, the border is a full-blown disaster that’s harming and endangering people. The entire country is suffering as a result.
To Joe Biden, none of that matters. There are “more important things going on.”
