David Hogg doesn’t scare any Republicans

Parkland school shooting survivor and wannabe political activist David Hogg seems poised to get in on the grifting business.
As the Washington Examiner reported earlier this week, Hogg announced the creation of “Leaders We Deserve,” a political action committee dedicated to recruiting and training “badass” young left-wingers to run for office. His group aims to guide a “new generation” into politics.

“Badass young people have a habit of being underestimated — and I have a habit of scaring the s*** out of Republicans by proving that, while we might be young, we are powerful,” Hogg announced in an email about his PAC.
Hogg’s “PAC” sounds very similar to the numerous other organizations that train people to run for office already established, such as “Defend Democracy,” “Arena,” “National Democratic Training Committee,” and others. And while a specific focus of Hogg’s group was to train young people, it should be noted Hogg has never been elected to office, nor has he ever run for office. All Hogg did was “start” the March For Our Lives group after the Parkland school shooting.
“Our political system is stacked against us, but incredible young leaders have fought back and beat the odds to get elected to office,” Hogg said. “It’s time to take more young people from movements like March For Our Lives and elect them to office to be the leaders we deserve.”
But the thing is, why would anyone support Hogg’s group? What logical person will give money to an organization to train candidates led by someone who’s never been in office, never run for office, and doesn’t know how to get elected?
I empathize with what he endured and applaud him for wanting to make a change so no one murders school students. However, Hogg has been little more than just a loudmouthed kid that overvalues his importance and overemphasizes his celebrity.

Moreover, Hogg has also never scared anybody, let alone Republicans. Nothing he’s ever accomplished has had any meaningful impact on political policy.
And there’s not any Republican politician who is afraid of Hogg, as the recent “Harvard graduate” claimed. He became a left-wing media darling, but contemporary politics are full of those kinds of flash in the pans. He is a legend in his mind, but that is all. He’s someone who wants to be relevant, and I suspect that’s what he really wants the most.
