‘Trans families’ are moving so doctors can further disfigure their children

There are many reasons people every day try to flee their homes. Afghans tried to escape the clutches of the Taliban. The illegal immigrants arriving at the southern border are fleeing countries racked by poverty and crime.
And some people in the U.S. are escaping red states because they aren’t allowed to permanently disfigure their children with sex change surgeries.

Such is the harrowing story that CNN decided to run a segment on, detailing a family of four living in the Florida suburbs who never thought they would “have to flee a state.” These parents put their son on hormone blockers “soon after” he was 11 or 12. They describe sex changes for children as “life-saving, essential treatment.” CNN also interviewed an activist that said that “if you were to ask a member of a trans family, they would tell you they go to bed at night dreaming of how to get out of the state.”
That’s right, apparently renting a U-Haul to get out of Florida is not much different than Cubans hopping on a raft to cross shark-infested water or Afghans clinging to the wheels of planes to escape the Taliban. Where is the “Rainbow Underground Railroad” when you need it?

It is difficult not to feel bad for the family that is the subject of this emotionally manipulative segment. They were told, presumably by medical professionals, that the only path forward for their son was to permanently alter his body starting from when he was in middle school. Like other parents of “transgender” children, they were likely told that the only two options were to embrace puberty blockers, hormone replacement, and sex change surgeries, or their child would commit suicide. Their son will never be a girl, but he will also never be able to reverse the damage that has been done to his body.
That is the real tragedy here, and yet CNN slapped the sad music over the family’s story of having to move so they can find a doctor to continue to chemically and physically disfigure their child in the name of “affirmation.” Establishment media cheers this behavior because transgender activists tell them to, and the families caught up in it will be reckoning with the consequences years down the road.
