Rep. Steve Cohen (D-KY) admitted that women’s locker rooms should have partitions so women don’t need to be in the same area as transgender athletes changing. That means that he is also acknowledging that “transgender women” are men, and that the ideology behind the transgender movement is a sham.

Cohen’s comments came during a House Judiciary Subcommittee on the Constitution and Limited Government hearing on families being coerced and emotionally blackmailed into putting children through permanent sex change procedures. Cohen was addressing what former University of Pennsylvania swimmer Paula Scanlan had to go through while sharing a locker room with Lia Thomas, a man who was allowed to join the women’s swim team.

“I read Ms. Scanlan’s testimony, I wasn’t here to hear it, and I think Penn didn’t deal with your situation like they could’ve and should’ve,” Cohen said. “Putting up some type of different barriers in the women’s area of the locker room. But that’s another issue. Things should be dealt with in a different way.”

But why should barriers need to be put up in the “women’s area of the locker room,” otherwise known as the women’s locker room, if Lia Thomas is a woman? Why would Penn have failed by having all of its female swimmers change in the locker room alongside Lia Thomas if Thomas is a woman? What did Penn do wrong?

The problem, of course, is that Lia Thomas is a man. Lia Thomas is a man with a penis who Penn’s female swimmers were forced to change in the same room up to “18 times per week,” according to Scanlan. If Lia Thomas were indeed a woman, there would be no need for “barriers,” as Cohen says were necessary. And, if barriers are indeed necessary so that women do not need to see a man’s penis while changing, they already exist: they are called women’s locker rooms, which are supposed to be spaces for women to change.

Cohen cannot believe that Lia Thomas or any other man is a woman while also believing that there must be “barriers” in women’s locker rooms to separate them from actual women. He would have to choose the former, which would make him delusional, or the latter, which would make him correct. By arguing both, Cohen is admitting that he recognizes that transgenderism is based on the lie that men can be women and vice versa.

Every Democratic politician should be asked if they agree.
