The 2024 election is a time for choosing.
The stakes for the Republican Party and our nation could not be higher. Our southern border is wide open. Our federal government is broken. A radical left-wing ideology has infested our institutions. Violent crime runs rampant on our streets. With every passing day, families are paying more and getting less. And now, because of President Joe Biden’s reckless economic policies, they’re staring down the barrel of a looming recession.

2024 will be a referendum on all of these issues. Republicans must ask themselves: Will we focus on the mistakes of the past or choose a better way forward?
We can and must do better. That’s why I endorsed Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-FL) for president. He is the proven courageous, conservative leader who will set us on the path to restoring American greatness.
In Florida, DeSantis accomplished more in one term than most politicians accomplish in their lifetimes. He didn’t just take the easy wins; he picked the hard fights. And he won those fights — not by championing a moderate, poll-tested agenda, but by leading with conviction and delivering real results.
That’s what has made Florida, under DeSantis’s leadership, the model for conservative governance.
For example, during the wave of destructive pandemic lockdowns and mandates, Florida stood as a beacon of freedom. During the surge of riots, violent crime, and attacks on law enforcement, Florida stood as a safe haven for law and order. And amid the war on parents, families, and children waged by woke left-wing ideologues, Florida has stood as the model for the conservative resistance. Every step of the way, DeSantis has run toward the fire.
But it wasn’t just his courage that made Florida a beacon of hope; it was his competence, focus, and ability to execute his agenda. That is why the voters in Florida responded and rewarded his results-driven leadership with a 19-point victory this past November. DeSantis, more than any other Republican, has a proven ability to finish the job.
Our country desperately needs that kind of leadership now. We must restore fiscal solvency to Washington and unleash our nation’s economic growth. Under DeSantis, Florida is No. 1 for new business formation, No. 1 for economic freedom, boasts one of the lowest per capita tax and per capita debt burdens in the nation, and just closed out fiscal 2022 with a record budget surplus.
We must protect the rights of parents and families and ensure that our children are getting the world-class education they deserve. Under Ron DeSantis, Florida is ranked No. 1 for parental involvement in education, No. 1 for education freedom, No. 1 for higher education, and No. 1 for excellence in education overall. He’s led the way on the pro-parent agenda, from his Parental Rights in Education bill to the passage of a massive school choice expansion.
We must secure the border and end the scourge of mass illegal immigration. DeSantis banned sanctuary cities, deployed his national guard to our southern border, and just signed the strongest anti-illegal immigration bill in the nation.
Finally, we must defeat woke ideology once and for all. For those who share that goal, DeSantis is the only choice. From fighting indoctrination in public schools to defunding DEI in our universities; from banning ESG to taking on woke corporate activists; from standing up for fairness in women’s sports to protecting vulnerable children from gender ideology, DeSantis has led the fight against the radical Left every step of the way. The example he set in Florida is the blueprint for our country.
The Biden presidency has been a long, humiliating string of failures, and the public knows it. The president’s approval rating is sitting at an all-time low. He’s extremely vulnerable going into this election, and Republicans must take advantage to save the country.
Our party has come up short in three consecutive elections: 2018, 2020, and 2022. As unpopular as the Democrats are, Republicans are not going to be able to beat them if we don’t put forward a candidate with the proven ability to command a winning coalition.
DeSantis is that candidate. In just four years, he did what previous generations of Republicans had deemed impossible: He transformed the nation’s largest swing state into a deep red, Republican supermajority fortress.
The choice is clear: Ron DeSantis was an exceptional governor. He’ll make an even better president.
