Out of arguments, el Sayed resorts to crying ‘Islamophobia’

.

Abdul el Sayed is starting to crumble under the public pressure of his Senate campaign in Michigan, so he has sprinted to the Democratic Party’s old, reliable argument: Everyone criticizing him must be a bigot.

El Sayed has fully embraced this line of defense, telling a rally crowd about his debate with Republican candidate Mike Rogers: “We had a little debate. Or I had a debate, and he just pointed at me and said, ‘well, he’s Muslim.’”

El Sayed has refused to address the fact that his sister praised the Muslim Brotherhood in social media posts, both in the debate with Rogers and under questioning from journalists. El Sayed also signed a letter in 2012 supporting Islamist Mohamed Morsi in Egypt, calling on him to “purge the media and police as quickly as possible.”

ABDUL EL SAYED’S RED-GREEN SUICIDE PACT: ISLAMISTS ALWAYS HANG THEIR LEFTIST ALLIES FIRST

El Sayed and multiple members of his family have ties with pro-terrorism hate groups like the Muslim Brotherhood and the Council on American-Islamic Relations. El Sayed has consistently downplayed the threat of Iran, the world’s premier state sponsor of terrorism, governed by a regime that kills Americans while chanting “Death to America.”

El Sayed plucked a California Twitch streamer from his mansion in Los Angeles to come to Michigan and be a key part of his campaign, even though that streamer is most famous for saying that America deserved the 9/11 terrorist attacks.

All of that, according to el Sayed, is Islamophobic of you to notice.

El Sayed has no defense of his radical ideology, which is so extreme that he failed to condemn (and, in fact, tried to justify) an Islamic terrorist trying to attack Jewish preschoolers in Michigan. He has instead fallen back on the typical talking point Democrats use when they don’t want to talk about something, crying that it’s “racist,” “sexist,” “transphobic,” or, in this case, “Islamophobic.”

El Sayed is cracking under the pressure, as he is on the verge of losing a race Democrats should win in a cycle in which Democrats have the political momentum. It’s not the argument of a confident man, but the argument of a candidate with nowhere else to turn.

In reality, el Sayed’s race and religion don’t matter. His record is his record, and his attempts to play the “Islamophobia” card are proof that he knows he has nothing left to say and no means of defending that record.
