In case you have forgotten over the past decade, Barack Obama used his position as president to be the nation’s chief divider, and he is once again reprising that role for the 2026 midterm elections.
Obama is going to Michigan to campaign on behalf of Democratic Senate candidate Abdul el Sayed, the terrorist-sympathizing communist Democrats are counting on to take control of the upper chamber. El Sayed has spent his campaign excusing terrorism in its various forms, including the attempted Islamist terrorist attack against Jewish preschoolers in Michigan, and campaigning alongside a California livestreamer who thinks that America deserved 9/11.
EL SAYED’S COMPARISON BETWEEN 9/11 ATTACKS AND U.S. RESPONSE IS ‘ABSOLUTELY OFFENSIVE’: BYRON YORK
Obama has spent his post-presidency decrying division in the U.S., claiming as recently as this year that Republicans are responsible for “the mean, angry, exclusive, us/them, divisive politics.” He has also emphasized that “we’re getting along not in some cliché, phony way, but in a genuine, deep way.”
The reality is that Obama was the nation’s divider-in-chief long before Donald Trump stepped onto the presidential scene. Obama was vilifying police officers for being supposedly racist in 2009, years before he breathed life into the Black Lives Matter movement in 2012 after the death of Trayvon Martin.
Obama constantly referred to Republicans as his “enemies” and claimed that mainstream Republican voters “cling to guns or religion or antipathy toward people who aren’t like them or anti-immigrant sentiment.” Obama and his team obsessively used his race as a get-out-of-criticism-free card, sabotaging American race relations for his political benefit, a consequence we are still living with today.

And who can forget that Obama routinely associated with antisemites such as Jeremiah Wright and Louis Farrakhan, while the Obama administration laid the groundwork for the Israel-obsessed Democratic Party we see today? In a way, Obama backing el Sayed in his campaign to represent Gaza on behalf of Michigan makes sense — Obama is the one who created him.
Not content with dividing the country during his eight-year presidency, Obama wants to ensure that hateful, anti-American Democrats such as el Sayed are empowered both within the Democratic Party and in the halls of Congress. Obama is continuing to fuel the divisive fires he started during his presidency, and the country’s toxic decline in political courtesy continues apace.
