Last week, Philadelphia District Attorney Larry Krasner made some explosive comments about his anticipated future destruction of the White House ballroom currently under construction. In a rather concerning and unhinged rant at a press conference at the slavery exhibit at the President’s House site in Philadelphia’s Independence Mall last Thursday, Krasner said he looked forward to the day the ballroom would be blown up in a future official ceremony. Krasner bragged that he would keep a piece of the destruction as a “paperweight” on his desk.
The Soros-funded district attorney, who was in office when Philadelphia broke a record for the number of homicides in a year in 2021, the highest total in the city’s 339-year history, was euphoric over his remarks. But as explosive as Krasner’s comments were, they paled in comparison to the lesser-reported comments made by U.S. District Judge Paul S. Diamond, on the very same day, who suggested Krasner might have violated multiple laws. A radical left-wing district attorney exhibiting signs of Trump derangement syndrome is, sadly, nothing new in today’s political discourse. Hints of accusation of that radical left-wing district attorney engaging in wrongdoing, that might be unethical and possibly criminal, that’s another thing entirely.
The Philadelphia Inquirer reported that actions taken in a case by city prosecutors “could ultimately amount to perjury, conspiracy, or obstruction of justice” violations in their efforts to overturn a murder conviction.
“If what they say is true,” Diamond said, “potential wrongdoing abounds.”
I wonder if they allow paperweights in prison?
While talks of an incarcerated Krasner are hyperbolic at this point, it does reflect poorly on the district attorney. On the same day he was jubilantly touting a criminal act of blowing up the White House ballroom in the future, a judge was raising red flags over how Krasner and his office conducts its legal efforts.
Returning to his comments about the ballroom, they are indicative of the warped mindset and weird behavior that Krasner has exhibited toward President Donald Trump since Krasner has been in office. He’s regularly engaged in unhinged rants, hyperbolic hysteria, and extreme performative political antics in criticizing the president. His words and rhetoric go far beyond political disagreement and arguably border on rather concerning mental health behavior. Yet even if Krasner objects to the construction of the ballroom, he has no jurisdiction or impact on it. He is insignificant in the ballroom’s construction and development. His comments embodied every symptomatic trait of Trump derangement syndrome.
Moreover, the White House ballroom has absolutely nothing to do with the slavery exhibit at the Pennsylvania State House, for which Krasner was speaking at a press conference about. Additionally, the ballroom has zero connection to Philadelphia, the city’s criminal justice system, or the city’s crime rates.
“Larry Krasner is Philadelphia’s chief prosecutor, yet he stood before a crowd and promised a paperweight from the White House ballroom ‘after we all blow it up … in an official ceremony,’” said JD Longo, Pennsylvania chairman, America First Policy Institute. “A top law-enforcement officer cheering the destruction of the People’s House in not simple dissent but recklessness beneath the office Krasner holds.”
“This project strengthens White House security and modernizes World War II–era command infrastructure that failed on September 11,” Longo said. “America First means protecting the presidency, the institutions that belong to the American people regardless of what party is in office and not treating their destruction as a souvenir.”
Longtime Philadelphia political talk show host, Rich Zeoli, was also critical of Krasner’s comments last week, specifically the Soros-funded district attorney’s penchant for using violent words about his political rival.
“Larry Krasner is once again using the violent rhetoric that is a dog whistle to unhinged people who commit political terrorism,” Zeoli told me. “Now he threatens the White House — and make no mistake, it’s a threat.”
“He knows exactly what he is doing, and he chooses his words carefully,” Zeoli said. “It’s also insane that instead of the White House having a beautiful, secure ballroom for guests to use for hundreds of years, Krasner’s hatred of Trump is so intense, he would rather blow it up out of spite.”
“That paper weight can be the physical embodiment of Trump derangement syndrome,” Zeoli added.
Immigration attorney, Philadelphia resident, and political pundit Christine Flowers said she was disgusted by Krasner’s comments and called him a stain on the city of Philadelphia.
“Philadelphia has been cursed, or rather, cursed itself by electing a man as its chief prosecutor who is capable of predicting, and hoping, that terrorist violence will befall the White House,” Flowers told the Washington Examiner. “After agreeing with shouts from his radicalized audience that Donald Trump is ‘the Devil,’ he said this: ‘We’re gonna blow [the ballroom ] up.’ The comment elicited jubilation from a crowd that had gathered to memorialize slavery, but instead lionized terrorism. And the District Attorney of the city that gave us a template for justice and dignity cheered them on.”
“As an attorney, and more importantly as a Philadelphian, I was disgusted by this sickening display of hatred, and this endorsement of violence,” Flowers said. “Krasner and his mediocre band of aspiring terrorists are as much a stain on this city as slavery is on the history of our flawed, yet sublime experiment in freedom.”
Krasner gloated about the destruction of the ballroom and gleefully envisioned a time in the future in which it would be gone. It’s a bit unrealistic to think that, given it would mean tearing down part of the White House in the future solely out of irrational hatred for someone, and doing it with taxpayer money. But, it also seems safe to presume that in the future, Krasner might not be spending his time thinking about the White House ballroom. Because if what Judge Diamond hinted at has any truth to it, Krasner will be far too occupied with the justice system to worry about the existence of the ballroom.
