In a sane world, Jew-terrorizing thugs intimidating people outside a synagogue would be swiftly and unanimously condemned by both sides of the political aisle. We do not live in a sane world.
A group of terrorist cosplayers, or as Sen. John Fetterman (D-PA) called them, “sh*theads,” forced a Jewish daycare to close early as they demonstrated outside a New York synagogue on Tuesday while cheering for intifada — deadly terrorist uprisings — waving the Hezbollah flag (yes, the terrorist group), and saying “we don’t want no Zionists [aka Jews] here.”
To quote Fetterman, regarding the Democratic Party, “Where’s my party’s condemnation?”
Democrats have accused President Donald Trump and Republicans of being Nazis and the second coming of Adolph Hitler for decades. Yet, this antisemitic rhetoric is largely coming from the Left. New York City elected a raging antisemite and terrorist supporter as its Democratic mayor, Maine Democrats are pushing for Senate a man who had literal Nazi symbolism tattooed to his skin, and the Democrats just can’t get enough of Hasan Piker — the guy who said the United States deserved 9/11, called Jews “inbred,” and justified United Healthcare CEO Brian Thompson’s murder, among other atrocities.
But go to any left-wing political rally, and you’ll see posters comparing Trump to Hitler. Does the Left have any self-awareness at all?
Tuesday’s protesters, such as all anti-Israel protesters, repeated verifiable lies, such as the Jews stealing so-called “Palestinian” land and accusations of an Israeli genocide. First of all, there’s never been Palestinian land because no country called Palestine ever existed. The Jews, not the Arabs, are indigenous to the land. And the Jews purchased largely uncultivated or absentee-owned land, while other land received was public property, and not privately owned by any Arab. The Arabs immediately declared war on Israel, and lost embarrassingly as usual, resulting in the Jewish state’s borders. The genocide accusations are similarly ridiculous — how does your population increase during an alleged genocide? What genocide involves a historically low number of civilian casualties for urban warfare, with the alleged aggressor taking extreme measures to avoid killing innocents? The only group responsible for any civilian deaths is Hamas and all its supporters. Hamas, not Israel, fired rockets from schools, hospitals, and residential areas. Hamas, not Israel, prevented civilians from fleeing to safety. Hamas, not Israel, stole humanitarian aid to sell on the black market and fund their terrorism.
These lies have real consequences. Jewish communities and places of worship are routinely vandalized, often with swastikas, as was the case in New York City on Monday. Jews are routinely the target of antisemitic attacks, in the U.S. and around the world — just last week, two Jews were stabbed in London. Two Jews were gunned down outside the Israeli Embassy last year, a Michigan synagogue was attacked by a man inspired by Hezbollah in March … the list goes on and on. Scroll through leftist social media and you’ll see hundreds of people celebrating or justifying these attacks in the comments. Even before Hamas slaughtered, raped, tortured, maimed, and kidnapped well over 1,000 innocent Israelis on Oct. 7, 2023, antisemitic propaganda was so prevalent that nearly half of young adults believed the attack was justified.
You know who else spread lies, including blood libel, about the Jews to justify violence against them? Hitler. You know who else remained silent in the face of slanderous anti-Jewish demonstrations? The Nazis and the people who would become Nazis.
No group of people is more obsessed with being considered “on the right side of history” than the U.S.’s liberals. But when you take a step back and look at the political Left, this is what you see: A group that promotes antisemitism, political violence, the killing of millions of unborn babies, and genital mutilation and hormone blockers for children.
