Most normal, sane, rational, intelligent, and common-sense Americans felt joy after the U.S. men’s Olympic hockey team defeated Canada 2-1, winning the gold medal for the first time in 46 years. However, liberals, Democrats, and others on the Left did what they do when anyone is jubilant regarding U.S. achievements: they sucked the joy out of the accomplishment and found something to be upset about.
Yes, Americans cannot even enjoy a historical victory in the Olympics without the perpetually aggrieved class finding something to be offended about.
The unforgivable sin this time? The postgame festivities by the men’s team, which included celebrating with FBI Director Kash Patel, sharing some alcoholic beverages with him, and receiving a phone call from President Donald Trump. The latest outrage involves claims about a perceived slight and disrespectful comment the president made about the women’s team. Normal people view it as nothing more than a joke and presidential silliness during a time of joy; left-wingers viewed it as patriarchal dominance and the misogyny of a sexist president. Yet, the outrage revealed a not-so-shocking double standard by the perpetually aggrieved.
Trump was complimenting the team, showering them with praise and accolades for their hard-fought victory over Canada, before inviting them to attend the State of the Union address and the White House. The president then made the sin of all sins, making a joke about “having to invite” the women’s team too, or they “would impeach” Trump. Leftists took this as sexism, while others rightfully took it as a humorous quip — the same kind of humorous quip that Trump made when he said that women were “much smarter” than men.
Oh, wait, you didn’t hear about the time that Trump made that joke?
Of course, you didn’t because it didn’t feed the left-wing perpetually aggrieved and outraged monster. It didn’t align with the liberal and Democratic narrative portraying Trump as sexist and misogynistic. They resort to performative stunts, hyperbolic hysteria, and theatrical politics to advance their causes, agendas, and political platforms. Their claims are not valid — though I am sure many of them are so brainwashed at this point that they believe them. After all, there’s a reason why those on the Left report “lower levels of happiness and psychological well-being than those on the Right.”
It was also noticeable that many of the left-wing comrades clutching their pearls also tried to drag down the men’s team as being complicit, dominating patriarchs in enjoying Trump’s humor. A lot of these critics either did not fully comment on what transpired, posted only selected edits of the exchange, or commented on only one part of the conversation. Many of them omitted the part that the men’s team was more than happy to have the women’s team join them, with several even chanting “2 for 2,” a reference to both teams winning the gold by defeating the Canadian teams.

Unfortunately, this is the result of the vast left-wing network that exists in this country and globally. The Left enjoys many advantages, and with them, they frequently corrupt the communication of what actually happened with what they want to happen. And then this messaging is advanced and promoted by the Left’s accomplices in the legacy media. It’s a horrible practice that, while an extraordinary amount of work, must regularly be countered and rejected. If you haven’t started, you can with this latest battle of the sexes that the Left created with the Olympic hockey teams. Don’t let liberals, Democrats, and others on the Left dictate cultural norms.
