In case the last year has caused you to forget, former Vice President Kamala Harris is back to remind you that she is still the leading Democrat for the 2028 presidential nomination and remains an inauthentic, cringeworthy candidate who is unable to connect with voters in any real way.
Harris is back on the national stage, having recently reactivated her 2024 social media campaign accounts and rebranded as “the new Gen-Z led progressive content hub.” Harris’s team named the TikTok account “headquarters_67” and the X account “Headquarters_67,” an unbearably cringeworthy attempt to connect to the youths and their “67” meme. This was so embarrassing, in fact, that Harris’s team changed the X account to “Headquarters68_,” then changed it again after being mocked for the walkback, settling on “HQNewsNow.”

It is a perfect illustration of Harris’s failing political career. She has no authenticity whatsoever, so she tries to glom onto whatever trend or viral “moment” she can. She is completely incapable of producing a genuine, real moment of her own, which is why she is nearly as bad a public speaker as former President Joe Biden when she is off-script. She relies on carefully planned, staged moments, with her only notable debate moments being obviously rehearsed lines delivered without a shred of authenticity. She is a political robot, and not a very good one, which is why her big plan to appeal to the youths is to repeat the 67 meme, as if she were one of their peers.
This is why she lost in 2024. Harris spent her 2020 campaign staking out the most progressive positions possible and then spent 2024 having aides quietly walk those positions back while she tried to coast on celebrity endorsements, favorable media coverage, and her status as the first black woman to be vice president.

Normally, this would not be all that notable. But Harris is returning to the political stage as the top polling candidate in the Democratic field for 2028. The last three polls recorded on RealClearPolitics have her leading Gov. Gavin Newsom (D-CA) by an average of nearly 11 points.
Harris is going to try to strong-arm her way to the nomination, demanding that the first black woman to almost become president be given a full campaign instead of the truncated one she had in 2024. Anything less would be racist and sexist, of course. Democrats will then be forced to choose between admitting that Harris is an unlikable, inauthentic candidate who never should have been nominated, and sacrificing another four-year term in the White House to whichever Republican gets the privilege of running against one of the worst presidential candidates in modern history.
