If anything has been made clear over the past two years, it’s that “Palestine” does not deserve to be a recognized state. And it never will until it ceases to be a haven of terrorism and antisemitism.
The worst actors at the United Nations are still agitating for a Palestinian state, signaling opposition to an American proposal that would establish an international stabilization force in Gaza. China and Russia, which have automatic vetoes on the U.N. Security Council, are among those in opposition. The Palestinian terrorists who run Gaza also oppose forced disarmament, which is part of the U.S.-negotiated peace deal and the American proposal that the U.N. would vote on.

According to the Associated Press, “The creation of a Palestinian state alongside Israel is seen internationally as the only realistic way to resolve the conflict for the long term.”
That line of thought explains why this conflict is still a problem. The Palestinians refuse even to attempt to function as a normal state. Foreign aid is taken by terrorists who dig up water pipes to use for missiles. They indoctrinate Palestinian children with antisemitic hatred. They store weapons and put their terrorist bases of operation in and under schools, hospitals, and civilian streets. And, of course, they launch attacks against Israel, whether that be missile barrages into civilian areas, “lone wolf” stabbings or shootings in Israeli cities, or the coordinated invasion of Israel resulting in the massacre of 1,200 people.
The Trump administration is trying to thread the needle here, updating its proposal with language about creating a “credible pathway” to statehood. It is hard to blame the administration for this, as it tries to corral the world’s antisemitic lemmings to create some kind of temporary workable peace in Gaza. But the fact remains that Hamas has already broken the terms of the ceasefire multiple times, and it is only a matter of time before its terrorist attacks against Israeli civilians resume.

For Israel, it is a question of when the next terrorist attack comes, not if. That’s because the Palestinians have no interest in any form of peace.
Until this changes, there should be no Palestinian state. Terrorists should not be rewarded. The Palestinians have not taken any steps to prove that a future state wouldn’t be run by the same antisemitic, genocidal Islamists who started this (and every other war) with Israel. “Palestine” does not deserve to be a state, and it won’t until the Palestinians prove they can go a generation or two without being consumed by antisemitic hatred and terrorism.
