Trump’s fascist takeover of the FCC lasted five days

.

After days of hyperbolic hysteria, senseless fearmongering, performative outrage, and superfluous pearl-clutching, late-night talk show host Jimmy Kimmel’s suspension ended, and the controversial left-wing host will return to his regular television time slot tonight on ABC. Kimmel was initially taken off the air due to dishonest and insensitive comments he made in the aftermath of Charlie Kirk’s assassination.

“We hit some new lows over the weekend with the MAGA gang trying to characterize this kid who killed Charlie Kirk as anything other than one of them,” Kimmel said during the monologue of his last show, which led to his (brief) removal.

Kimmel’s comments did not sit well with network executives, who felt the host’s comments were disrespectful and dishonest. As a result, executives from Disney and ABC claimed they disapproved of Kimmel’s comments and suspended him indefinitely. Liberals, Democrats, and others on the Left engaged in a campaign of false claims that Trump, and more specifically, Federal Communications Commission chairman Brendan Carr, had orchestrated Kimmel’s removal.

KIMMEL WAS PULLED FOR LYING ABOUT HALF THE COUNTRY, NOT CRITICIZING THE PRESIDENT

The vociferous Left protested Kimmel’s suspension, promising boycotts and subscription cancellations to Disney and ABC productions and streaming sites. They called it an act of tyranny. They called it fascist. They called it a violation of free speech and a disregard for the First Amendment

Trump’s fascist takeover was to be short-lived, lasting only five days. The outrage, the claims, and the assertions of authoritarianism — all of it was a lie.

The decision to remove Kimmel was made by network executives, not an authoritarian Trump regime or an overly aggressive FCC chairman. After Kimmel’s falsehoods, advertisers and network affiliates voiced their concerns about Kimmel continuing to air the show. The Wall Street Journal reported that Nexstar and Sinclair said they would “indefinitely preempt” the show starting Tuesday, Sept. 16. Kimmel then talked with Dana Walden, cochairman of Disney Entertainment, about his comments and plan going forward, but Walden disapproved. She then met with Disney Chief Executive Bob Iger, and both ultimately decided to suspend the show “indefinitely.”

Kimmel’s “indefinite” suspension lasted less than a week — five days to be exact. Students are handed more severe punishments for minor infractions in elementary schools than Kimmel received for lying to his show’s nearly 2 million daily viewers about Kirk’s assassination. It’s the latest example of the discrepancy in values between everyday Americans and the left-wing elite. Actresses Gina Carano and Roseanne Barr lost their jobs at Disney and ABC, respectively, over controversial comments (on their own free time, not while working for the network). Kimmel, however, received a long weekend as punishment for doing something arguably much worse.

DID DEMOCRATS FORGET ABOUT DISNEY FIRING GINA CARANO AND ROSEANNE BARR?

If any of the liberals, Democrats, or other left-wingers’ claims about Trump and his fascist FCC henchman Carr were valid, then the show would not be returning — especially not returning in such a short time. Fascists, Nazis, and other horrible power-abusing authoritarians don’t relinquish authority. Kimmel’s suspension and subsequent reinstatement proved just how dishonest Democrats are. The depths to which the Left lied, advanced their lie through their accomplices in Congress and the legacy media, and actively engaged in deceiving and manipulating the public, are indicative of their deception. They rely on fearmongering, sensationalism, and riling up people’s emotions to achieve their agenda. It is an integral part of their daily political regimen.

With such regular emotional manipulations, it’s no wonder liberals, Democrats, and others on the Left have resorted to fanatical violence to extinguish ideals and principles that run counter to their own.
