The Left renews calls to obstruct justiceĀ

.

Upholding the rule of law seems like common sense, but to the Left, it is an act of racially motivated hate. After the Supreme Court voted to lift restrictions on Immigration and Customs Enforcement operations in Los Angeles, the Left has once again vowed to obstruct the law, which emphasized their disregard for the law and the endangered lives of American families.Ā

[The Left] is ā€œdriven by an anti-law enforcement ideology, not common sense, which makes them ignore and minimize the harm suffered by the public by rampant crime, particularly in inner city urban neighborhoods, former DOJ Attorney and Senior judicial fellow at the Heritage Foundation Hans A. von Spakovsky told the Washington Examiner.Ā

DEMOCRATS’ RULE OF LAW RHETORIC DOESN’T MATCH REALITY

ā€œThe Trump administration has a constitutional duty to enforce the law, and that includes enforcing federal immigration law and federal criminal law. To the extent such violations of the law are occurring in cities, the administration has both the right and the obligation to use its law enforcement authority to go after criminals, which includes illegal aliens,ā€ von Spakovsky added.Ā

As mentioned by the former member of the Federal Election Commission, the president has the legal authority to enforce the law. Under the Posse Comitatus Act, the President of the United States has the legal right to mobilize federal law enforcement agencies, such as the Department of Homeland Security, to American cities. Obstruction of the law enforcement operations mobilized by the president, as seen in Los Angeles and other left-leaning cities, is in direct violation of federal law.Ā

Not only does the president have the legal right to intensify efforts in Los Angeles, but he has the moral obligation to do as well.

In a city like Los Angeles, where Democrats have ruled for decades, and the presence of law enforcement was restricted until now, the violent crime rate remains around 29% higher than the national average. Compared to major cities in Texas, which have cooperated with federal law enforcement operations, violent crime has gone down by 14%.Ā

However, the Left has made it evident that they do not have much care for crime statistics, law enforcement, or the rule of law in the first place.Ā Even withĀ crime statistics being at an all-time high, Democrats will still overlook them as they continue their ā€œactivismā€ against law enforcement.Ā

Cecillia Wang, the national legal director of the American Civil Liberties Union, called the decision ā€œoutrageous.ā€Ā

ā€œToday’s Supreme Court order puts people at grave risk. For anyone perceived as Latino by an ICE agent, this means living in a fearful ā€˜papers please’ regime, with risks of violent ICE arrests and detention,ā€ Wang wrote.

ā€œThe Supreme Court’s order is outrageous because it includes no reasoning itself but puts on hold the well-reasoned opinions of the lower federal courts. We will fight on in this case and others for our fundamental right to go about our lives without being targeted by government agents based on racial profiling.ā€

WHAT PAM BONDI GETS WRONG ABOUT FREE SPEECH

In a different statement, the Southern California chapter of the ACLU foreshadowed its plans to continuously obstruct justice.Ā Ā

ā€œOur community has come together to confront this injustice with courage and determination, uncovering the truth and showing the nation these raids were never about public safety but about targeting immigrants and sowing fear. This fight is not over. We will continue pressing our case in court until every person in our communities can live free from fear, with their rights and dignity fully protected.ā€
