Following the murder of Charlie Kirk, key young elected officials in dark blue states and the executive director of a nationwide nonprofit group for young conservative leaders told the Washington Examiner they will not back down and self-censor despite the Left’s violent escalation.
“We can never back down, no matter what. Stand tall. Speak your mind. Never be afraid to do the right thing,” David Tangipa, the youngest assemblyman to serve California’s 8th District, told the Washington Examiner.
“[The Left] cannot argue or speak out against our ideas, so now they started to resort to violence,” Tangipa added.
VIOLENCE AGAINST CAMPUS CONSERVATIVES HAS REACHED NEW HEIGHTS
Mason Carter, a 20-year-old councilman from Frederick County, Maryland, told the Washington Examiner that “we have to keep on fighting and advocate for what we believe in.
“Charlie’s legacy will live on through our advocacy. I’ll never be afraid to stand up for what I believe in. People want us to shy away and live in fear, but that will never be accurately represented.”
Adam Pennings, the face of Run Gen Z, an organization dedicated to training and mentoring young conservatives for elected office, told the Washington Examiner that conservatives refuse to back down as they overlook the threats Democrats cast on them.
“Each of us must now continue Charlie’s legacy. What Charlie created was bigger than one man, and it can’t be stopped with a single bullet. It’s heartbreaking to lose him, but the conservative movement has never been stronger,” Pennings told the Washington Examiner.
“In the moments we think of giving up, when the odds may be against us, or the fight seems too hard, we must now think: Do it for Charlie,” Pennings added.
Former Gov. Scott Walker, president of the Young America’s Foundation, had similar thoughts. In a video provided to the Washington Examiner by YAF spokesperson, Walker said the best way to honor Kirk is to continue his work.
Since the murder in Utah, more heinous death threats to influential young conservatives like Kirk have circulated on the internet.
“Matt Walsh next inshallah,” and “fingers crossed Matt Walsh is next,” have begun to flood X following Kirk’s death.
Posts stating, “I hope Ben Shapiro is next,” and, “Anyways, so hopefully Ben Shapiro next,” soon followed.
It is clear the Left will continue to intimidate conservatives from holding the line. However, as clearly portrayed above, the Left’s fever dream of silencing conservatives will continue to go unfulfilled.
“I won’t be going into hiding. We have to be louder and bolder now than ever. Or else the demons who killed Charlie win. And they cannot win,” Walsh wrote.
CHARLIE KIRK WAS MURDERED FOR WINNING THE WAR OF PUBLIC PERSUASION
In a video posted earlier today, Shapiro claimed he would be going to college campuses across the country to continue Kirk’s movement.
“We will never stop debating and discussing. We will never stop standing up for what America is and what she should be. And we will never let Charlie’s voice die. To those who would stop us, I have two words: F*** YOU,” Shapiro wrote in a post.
