Video of a Scottish girl brandishing a big knife and a small ax at a man recording their confrontation became a viral sensation this week.
The scene is extraordinary and revealing — it has been called iconic already — but some Scottish news outlets, such as the Scottish Sun, initially reported only that police charged a girl with possession of a knife. The Scottish Sun’s story and others like it did not mention, let alone delve into, any other facts and relevant circumstances that are obvious to anyone who watches the video.
Eventually, there was more reporting of the facts that dictate an entirely different understanding of what was going on, wholly at odds with early reports that seemed to suggest nothing other than that a delinquent teenager waved a knife in public.
The girl with the weapons, who appears to be about 13 years old, is seen in the video with another girl who was later reported to be her 12-year-old sister. The two are distraught, and the elder is trembling with anger and fear, or perhaps from an adrenaline spike produced by the stressful drama in which she is the central protagonist.
She shouts at the man recording her and at another man, accusing them both of being “kid bashers.” Girls’ voices — it is not clear whose — can be heard shouting, “Leave her alone” and “Don’t f***ing touch us.” One social media post revealed, or at least reported, that the men approached and touched the 12-year-old, and when the other girl told them to leave her alone, they turned on her and assaulted her. Interspersed with the girls’ wild words, one hears a calm and mocking foreign man’s voice saying, “Show the knife, show the knife,” which the girl does.
There isn’t a scintilla of doubt about who feels frightened and threatened in this scene. It is, as inevitably it would be, the slight young girls, both of whom are closer to being children than to being women. It is not and could not be the men who appear, from another photograph posted on the internet, to be about twice the girls’ age, fully grown and in the prime of their young male strength. Even with their weapons, the girls could not mount an effective resistance and would have been easily overpowered by the men if the confrontation had descended into outright violence.
What one sees here is that the West’s decadeslong antidiscrimination madness has reached its apotheosis, or perhaps its nadir.
All the salient facts make this a story not one about a delinquent girl with a couple of illegal blades but about girls and women living in fear across Europe because they are forced to live amid migrants who have descended upon their communities and, in many cases, prey upon them.
For decades, the Western public has been fed lies such as that women can be just as strong and physically independent as men, that chivalry is a form of improper sexism, that it is racist to regard Asian and Middle Eastern men as ill-suited to our society and more likely to be dangerous than European men, and that it’s “discrimination” to believe one culture is better than any other. We have reached the point at which, like Winston Smith upon the torturer’s table in George Orwell’s novel 1984, we are meant to disbelieve what we can plainly see, and to accept whatever we are told by the authorities and their truckling media.
It is nearly four decades since the civil rights activist and one-time presidential candidate Jesse Jackson admitted that he felt relief when, upon hearing steps behind him at night, he turned and saw that it was a white man. This acknowledgment of who most often commits violent crime has, however, long since been silenced by an antidiscrimination ideology that smothers freedom in the West. Simply put, acknowledgment of inconvenient truths is now seen as racist, discriminatory, and unacceptable.
ANTI-TRUMPIAN AND TRUMPIAN LAWFARE
This has destroyed the order of European society, and it threatens our own. It has created a two-tier justice system in which people are punished, even jailed, if they intemperately suggest violence against unwanted immigrants, but actual violence by foreigners is forgiven, excused, or concealed. In Britain, the rot has gone further than in most places, but the same moral collapse is evident all over Europe, articulated by almost daily incidents of horror perpetrated by foreigners against their host peoples.
Why did a young Scottish girl brandish weapons? Why did she feel the need to carry them? What are grown men doing approaching and touching children as though they were available? What are so many foreigners doing in countries that are not theirs and where the indigenous people never voted to accept them?
