Tonight is Major League Baseball’s 95th All-Star Game. The event features the game’s stars, pitting the best players of the National League versus the American League in an exhibition baseball game. The game is being held this year in Atlanta, Georgia, which is noteworthy because, in 2021, MLB relocated the event from Georgia because of changes to the state’s voting laws, changes that former President Joe Biden labeled “Jim Crow in the 21st Century.”
Yet, four years later, the laws are still the same, but MLB is back. Why? How?
To understand the answers to those questions, one must comprehend the gutlessness of MLB Commissioner Rob Manfred and all the other timid and cowardly executives involved in making the decision. One must also understand the magnitude to which liberals, Democrats, and others on the Left lie, deceive, manipulate, and intimidate to try to achieve cultural and political objectives.
Consider the pathetic comments by Manfred in April 2021 as to why the All-Star Game was being relocated.
“I have decided that the best way to demonstrate our values as a sport is by relocating this year’s All-Star Game and MLB Draft,” Manfred said. “Major League Baseball fundamentally supports voting rights for all Americans and opposes restrictions to the ballot box. In 2020, MLB became the first professional sports league to join the non-partisan Civic Alliance to help build a future in which everyone participates in shaping the United States.”
“We proudly used our platform to encourage baseball fans and communities throughout our country to perform their civic duty and actively participate in the voting process. Fair access to voting continues to have our game’s unwavering support,” Manfred added.
The kicker here is that none of this was ever true. Manfred was either a willing accomplice in helping left-wing bullies advance their agenda, or he was too cowardly and timid to do the right thing. Moreover, the absurdity of Manfred’s decision was further highlighted after Judge J. P. Boulee of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Georgia ruled that not only was the voting law not discriminatory, but it included “provisions and ideas that were typically supported by Democrats.”
Manfred’s decision to relocate the All-Star Game in 2021 is yet another example of how white liberals and Democrats, or weak white people afraid to stand up to liberals and Democrats, are arguably the root of most problems in this country. The actions of MLB’s commissioner helped advance the deceptive narrative that Georgia’s voting law discriminated against racial minorities, specifically black people. It was never true. But Manfred either did not have the courage not to cave and succumb to the pressure of the sociocultural left-wing mob, or was too unintelligent to understand the bill.
Unfortunately, Manfred was never held accountable for his cowardice and error in judgment. Regrettably, he never will. It is implausible to think that Manfred learned from this ordeal and that the next time something similar happened, he would have enough mettle not to cave. However, as recent history has shown, with most in the spotlight who face left-wing public pressure, such an expectation is unlikely to happen.
Baseball is affectionately referred to as “America’s pastime.” By moving the MLB All-Star Game, Manfred gave credence to the Left’s unsubstantiated claim that Georgia’s voting laws were discriminatory. The imagery of “America’s pastime,” believing the law was racist, advanced the desired left-wing narratives. It’s indicative of how the Left orchestrates politically strategic attacks on the country’s cultural institutions to control narratives and influence the masses.
The 2021 MLB All-Star Game in Atlanta, Georgia, should not have been relocated. Manfred and the cowards at MLB genuflected to left-wing lies and fearmongering. They were willingly used as pawns in a political game. It was an embarrassment then, but arguably even more humiliating given the very laws they objected to and falsely categorized as discriminatory and oppressive still exist. It also showed how much of a pathological liar Biden was.

Liberals, Democrats, and others on the Left regularly try to use the country’s past to emotionally blackmail the public in the present and future. They use racism as a weapon to achieve their cultural and political objectives, capitalizing on warped sentiments of the perpetually aggrieved and white-guilt social classes that they spent decades creating.
It’s a phenomenon that must be stopped. A good way to start would be to hold people like Manfred and corporations like Major League Baseball accountable. They should have been forced to apologize and admit they were wrong in their overreaction.
