Never Trumper Tim Miller calls Matt Walsh multiple anti-Irish ethnic slurs

.

Liberals, left-wingers, Never Trumpers, and Democratic political pundits regularly discuss the importance of racial equality, racial harmony, and the eradication of biases, prejudices, and discrimination.

That is, until they start discussing white people, particularly white people with whom they disagree. In such cases, they frequently become as bigoted and prejudiced as the Democrats of the 19th and 20th centuries, who championed racial discrimination and segregation.

Enter this week’s biased hypocrite, political “analyst,” and fervent holier-than-thou Never Trumper, Tim Miller.

“Go back to Ireland you f****** paddy a** mick,” Miller posted, using multiple anti-Irish ethnic slurs, in response to a post made by Matt Walsh, a right-wing podcast host and political commentator.

Miller was replying to Walsh’s post about immigration after the results of the New York City Democratic mayoral primary showed Zohran Mamdani in first place. Walsh lamented the high percentage of foreign-born people living in the Big Apple.

“40 percent of New York City’s population is foreign born,” Walsh posted. “Not just second and third generation immigrants. Foreign born. Almost half the city wasn’t born in this country. NYC isn’t an American city anymore by any reasonable definition of the term. It’s a tragedy and a disgrace.”

It’s a foul-mouthed, prejudiced, and derogatory remark that Miller never would have said if Walsh were a different skin color. Apparently, it’s permissible to use ethnic slurs, so long as the recipient is Irish. Wonder what the societal tolerance for Miller would have been if he made such slurs to a non-white person? Seems to be a lot of inconsistency here regarding tolerance.

Moreover, Miller, who regularly whines about the ills of prejudice and discrimination, or at least what he considers prejudice and discrimination, clearly has no problem engaging in it himself.

He most likely used the slurs as a provocative criticism of the contents of Walsh’s post.

For those unfamiliar with the slurs, “paddy” is a hypocorism of the traditional Irish name Patrick. As a slur, it is commonly used to negatively describe people of Irish descent. It has frequently been used in combination, such as “paddy wagon,” to describe the police vehicle used to transport drunk Irish people to jail. The Washington Post highlighted this fact about the slur in a 2017 article.

“The idea of ‘paddy’ is a police car that comes around to grab up Irish people who are no good drunk criminals, so it deals with a historical stereotype of Irish people as low lives,” reported ABC News.

Mick” is an anti-Irish slur derived from the pronunciation of “Mc,” a common surname among people of Irish descent.

It’s the kind of comment that left-wing agitators regularly make on social media but are too gutless to say to someone’s face.

Granted, Walsh’s post was arguably foolish. He tried to make some ill-advised connection between the number of foreigners in New York City and Zohran Mamdani’s election victory, given that he was born in Uganda, Africa. It was a poor argument and not grounded in reality or logic, as New York City has regularly had a high foreign-born population percentage. This includes over a century ago, in 1910, when 41% of the city’s population was born outside the country.

Walsh’s comment was arguably disagreeable and easily refutable. It still shouldn’t have resulted in ethnic slurs, especially from a supposed opponent of discrimination and especially from someone such as Miller. He would never be caught posting telling a non-white person to “go back to (insert predominantly non-white country), you (insert racial or ethnic slur for white person).” He would have never insulted Walsh with such slurs if he were black, Hispanic, Asian, or Native American, regardless of what Walsh may have posted.

If he did, he would be forced to apologize, probably lose his job, and be shamed into oblivion. His career would be over. For example, comedian Roseanne Barr said much less, and it cost the actress her sitcom.

However, such bigotry, discrimination, and prejudice are regularly permitted by those on the Left when the recipient is a white person. It’s indicative of the Left’s hypocrisy on race and why no one should regularly take any claims it makes about racism, prejudice, or discrimination seriously, as its members are among the biggest bigots in this country.
