CNN and liberal media keep feeding into left-wing violence

.

CNN’s Brian Stelter said the terrorist attack against Jewish protesters in Boulder, Colorado, was “another day that heightens the fear that many Jewish Americans already feel.” Perhaps liberal media, including CNN, should stop feeding into left-wing violence and antisemitism with their atrocious coverage of Israel and Gaza.

Using CNN as a chief example, let’s go back to the brutal murder of two Israeli Embassy workers in Washington, D.C., two weeks ago. After that shooting, CNN anchor Sara Sidner interviewed a witness to it, who said he looked the alleged shooter in the eyes and saw the same hatred that he saw in the eyes of Columbia “pro-Palestine” protesters who chanted about a global intifada. Sidner then asked the witness if he was worried, not about antisemitic violence, but about there being a “conflation” between the antisemites cheering on terrorists in Gaza and the one who allegedly gunned down the two Israeli Embassy workers.

That is how CNN has framed this matter for years. Israel is always at fault, the Palestinian terrorists and their supporters are always the victims, and civilians being murdered by “pro-Palestine” terrorists are less important than the backlash against Palestinians.

Now, fast-forward to this latest terrorist attack. CNN started the day by peddling a false story that Israel gunned down 26 Palestinians near an aid distribution center. The basis of the claim came from Hamas terrorists, whom CNN and others in liberal media always take at their word. The story was not true (they never are). Palestinians killed the Palestinians.

After the attack, in which a “pro-Palestine” terrorist threw a Molotov cocktail at pro-Israel protesters demonstrating on behalf of hostages, FBI Director Kash Patel called it a terrorist attack. Videos hit social media immediately, and Patel was unsurprisingly right. But, in the immediate aftermath, CNN instead had on disgraced former FBI agent Andrew McCabe, who shamed Patel for jumping to (the correct) conclusions.

HOW THE MEDIA HAVE GOTTEN ISRAEL STORIES WRONG

Then, CNN put the word “peaceful” in scare quotes to describe the pro-Israel protest that was firebombed, suggesting to readers that the protest was not, in fact, peaceful. If you follow CNN’s coverage, Israel is gunning down Palestinian civilians while violent pro-Israel protests take place in the United States, and the real worry we should have as a country is the backlash against the free speech of “pro-Palestine” protesters. Is it any wonder that the terrorist supporters who make up the “pro-Palestine” movement are engaging in terrorism after consuming that narrative?

CNN and other liberal media outlets continue to paint Israel as a human rights-abusing warmongering state and the Palestinians as the poor victims who must always be believed when they say their terrorist acts are all Israel’s fault. Perhaps Stelter should stop whining about right-wing media for five minutes and ask why his network is feeding into this while it also denies that left-wing violence is any sort of threat in the U.S.
