Trump has been a champion for faith in his first 100 days

.

As we reach the first 100 days of President Donald Trump‘s second term in the White House, it is abundantly clear: Christians across America once again have a powerful, unapologetic advocate in the Oval Office.

As 2 Chronicles 7:14 says, “If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.”

Trump understands that America doesn’t just need policy change — it needs a heart change, which starts by turning back to God and seeking His help. Scripture reminds us in James 4:6, “God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.”

Over the last four years, the Biden White House embraced every radical anti-Christian agenda imaginable. From the blasphemous declaration of “Transgender Day of Visibility” on Easter Sunday to the weaponization of the FBI to surveil and persecute Christians to the targeting of innocent pro-life advocates, American Christians were under attack.

But now, after just 100 days in office, Trump has inspired a spiritual revival in our nation. He’s reminding Americans that our rights come from God, not government, and he’s unafraid to lead with Biblical truth.

I believe faith is the bedrock of a strong nation, which is why I was proud to proclaim April as Faith Month on the House floor. Without faith, America is, quite frankly, dead. Mark 3:24 says, “If a kingdom is divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand.” Faith unites us and reminds us who we are and why we’re here. In times of trial, it is faith that anchors us. And in every chapter of our nation’s story, it has been faith that lights the path forward.

Trump boldly promised to protect and uphold Christian values on the campaign trail and has been unwavering in keeping that promise. Early in his presidency, he signed an executive order to establish a White House Faith Office, bringing faith leaders from across the nation to the table and ensuring their voices are heard at the highest levels of our government.

He also signed an executive order aimed at protecting Americans’ religious freedoms and ending the anti-Christian weaponization of government that has persisted for far too long. This executive order also established a task force to eradicate anti-Christian bias, led by Attorney General Pam Bondi.

Most recently, during Holy Week, Americans witnessed a resurgence of reverence for God and the celebration of the resurrection of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, in the White House. It was then that Trump issued an Easter proclamation that spoke directly to the Christian community, reaffirming his unwavering commitment to defending the Christian faith. The statement emphasized his dedication to ensuring that religious freedom is protected and faith in Christ is upheld. From schools to military service, workplaces to hospitals, and government institutions to the private sector, Trump has continued to champion the rights of Christians to practice their faith freely.

And they haven’t been meaningless gestures or attempts at virtue signaling for applause — they are bold, intentional, and actionable steps to restore the rightful place of faith in America. Trump has remained steadfast and unapologetic in his defense of people of faith in every area of life. As Abraham Kuyper famously said, “There is not a square inch in the whole domain of our human existence over which Christ, who is Sovereign over all, does not cry, Mine!”

We have long needed to bring God back into the heart of our nation, and Trump is doing precisely that.
