This subsidy program is sabotaging Trump’s agenda

.

President Donald Trump was elected to restore sanity and normalcy to the government and the country. Trump’s victory was a decisive mandate from the people seeking commonsense policies and an America First agenda. It was a sound rejection of the radical left-wing, neo-Marxist cultural revolution that Democrats tried to implement during the Biden administration. Despite this, there are those trying to carry on the ideologies of yesteryear and sabotage Trump’s agenda — particularly through exploiting the 340B government subsidy program.

The 340B Drug Pricing Program was established by Congress in the Veterans Health Care Act of 1992. It uses “limited federal resources to reduce the price of outpatient pharmaceuticals for patients and expand health services to the patients and communities they serve.” It provides subsidized healthcare for uninsured patients, including free vaccines and mental health services in clinics. At its core, it is a benevolent program meant to help those in need. However, the program is being abused to finance left-wing cultural initiatives such as gender transition drugs, surgeries, and connections to the abortion factory Planned Parenthood.

The available data reveal how taxpayer funds from the 340B support left-wing medical procedures that run counter to Trump’s agenda and, in many cases, his executive orders.

There are reportedly 639 Planned Parenthood clinics nationwide that use the 340B program. And, according to Planned Parenthood’s most recent annual report, the organization performed 392,715 abortions. This should raise numerous red flags, as 340B was a program designed to help with the expenses of prescription drug costs, not fund irresponsible sexual behavior.

If using taxpayer funds to exterminate the lives of children in the womb isn’t bad enough, healthcare facilities that participate in the 340B program don’t take care of children outside the womb, either. In fact, they cause them great harm. Many of these organizations used 340B to offer gender-affirming care, transition surgeries, and other similar services to children as young as 9. Moreover, many of these places also reportedly funded “transition drugs with 340B discounts.”

This means taxpayer money is funding these radical and dangerous medical procedures on young children that often cause irreversible and irreparable harm. Furthermore, it means that taxpayer money is going to facilities that are in direct violation of Trump’s “Protecting Children from Chemical and Surgical Mutilation” executive order.

Consider Howard Brown Health in Chicago. In its “340 B Impact Profile,” this facility highlights using 340B funds for so-called gender-affirming procedures. While touting that 340B allows Howard Brown Health to “provide affordable medication” to their patients and “improve patient care and expand access to services,” it also mentions that 340B helps to fund a variety of services “unique to HBH” including affirming services such as “hormone therapy, group therapy, and gender-affirming surgical navigation.” While predating the Trump administration, such services funded by 340B seem no longer compliant with the president’s executive order.

“Accordingly, it is the policy of the United States that it will not fund, sponsor, promote, assist, or support the so-called ‘transition’ of a child from one sex to another, and it will rigorously enforce all laws that prohibit or limit these destructive and life-altering procedures,” Trump’s directive reads.

Another example is the Callen-Lorde Community Health Center in New York. This facility promotes it uses 340B to provide transgender and nonbinary patients with a variety of services, including the integration of “hormone therapy within primary care.” It also advertises a program dedicated to teenagers, Health Outreach to Teens, which, among other things, includes “transgender healthcare/hormone therapy.”

Again, this appears to violate Trump’s executive order.

There are others throughout the country. While their locations might be different, their agenda is the same: Use taxpayer dollars to fund radical gender ideology medical acts. It’s contemporary Lysenkoism and a gross abuse of the 340B program. Moreover, it’s an egregious misuse of taxpayer funds.

The government should not be in the business of funding sex-change operations for children. We’re supposed to be protecting children and promising them a better tomorrow, not causing them irreparable harm to appease a perverse cult. It’s time to incorporate much stricter government oversight on the 340B program to rein in these funding abuses and program misuses.

If not, then have the Department of Government Efficiency cut it and let Congress create another program from scratch that adheres to the original purpose of 340B when it was created in 1992.
