‘Day of reckoning’ as Pennsylvania Republicans impeach ‘woke’ Philadelphia DA Larry Krasner

Being the district attorney in one of the country’s largest cities is a tough job. It’s even more challenging when the city experiences record-breaking homicides, carjackings, and other violent crimes, and the policies the district attorney’s offices implemented contributed to the surge. Such is the case in Philadelphia with Soros-backed, radical left-wing District Attorney Larry Krasner. However, on Wednesday, Pennsylvania‘s Republican-controlled state House had enough and voted to impeach Krasner. It will be the first Pennsylvania Senate impeachment trial in nearly 30 years.

ANOTHER PHILADELPHIA MURDERED BECAUSE OF SOFT-ON-CRIME POLICIES

State representatives voted 107-85 in favor of impeachment. Krasner was accused of neglecting his duty as the city’s district attorney and promoting criminal justice reform policies that were light on crime. He seemed to prioritize protecting criminals over the city’s innocent civilians. Since Krasner was elected, Philadelphia has become a cesspool of violent criminal behavior. The city’s crime surge has repeatedly made national news.

Longtime Philadelphia radio talk show host Dom Giordano has been an outspoken critic of Krasner’s failures, often referring to the criminal sanctuary that Philadelphia has become as “Krasnerland” on his program. He was glad to see Krasner’s impeachment and hoped it was the first step in making the city safe again. He applauded the Republican effort in the state House.

“They are the check on Krasner, and they are following the law in impeaching him,” Giordano told me. “He is not fulfilling his oath of office, and this is not just a dispute over ideology.”

Giordano, considered the “dean of Philadelphia radio” and named one of the “Top 100 Most Influential Talk Show Hosts in America,” has long felt that Krasner’s impact on the city has been devastating. As talk of Krasner’s impeachment spread earlier this year, many hoped it would come to fruition, including Giordano. When the process began in September, Giordano referred to it as Krasner’s “day of reckoning.”

“Impeaching Krasner is the first step in cleaning up Philadelphia,” Giordano said. “We will be electing a new mayor and appointing a new police chief. Republicans must make the top priority in the mayor’s race personal safety.”

Krasner’s impeachment trial will go to the Pennsylvania Senate, where Republicans have a 29-21 majority. State law requires a two-thirds majority vote to remove Krasner from office.

Impeaching Krasner is an essential step in trying to turn Philadelphia around. Soros-funded, radical left-wing district attorneys have been plaguing cities with devastating criminal justice policies all over the country that have accomplished nothing but led to massive increases in violent crime.

San Francisco voted to recall rogue Soros-backed District Attorney Chesa Boudin because of his failures. Hopefully, it’s the beginning of a wave of rejecting these district attorneys and taking our country’s cities back from the influence of George Soros and the embrace of left-wing policies.

As a lifelong resident of Philadelphia, it is good to see government officials finally hold Krasner accountable. Krasner was so out-of-touch with reality and in denial that, on multiple occasions, he refused to acknowledge the city was even experiencing any crime crisis. I echo Giordano’s sentiments that Krasner’s impeachment represents an actual turning point in the city. It would be nice to be able to walk my dog around Philadelphia without the genuine fear of being murdered.
