Atlanta insurrectionists and the Southern Poverty Law Center antifa henchman

For over two years, Democrats have denounced political violence. Time and time again, they have warned of its dangers, repeatedly claiming that it is a threat to our democracy. They claim such violence endangers society – just so long as it comes from the Right. When it is the Left causing chaos and destruction, such as the recent insurrection led by antifa in Atlanta, it rarely, if ever, gets acknowledged, let alone condemned, by Democrats.
But now, there is actual proof that the people that refuse to condemn violence from the Left are now among those causing the destruction. Earlier this week, 23 people were arrested and charged with domestic terrorism after they threw Molotov cocktails, rocks, bricks, and fireworks at police officers at a new Public Safety Training Center in Georgia. One of the people arrested was Thomas Jurgens, an attorney for the Southern Poverty Law Center, a far-left political organization.
A supposed civil rights organization, the SPLC has been weaponized by the Left as an extension of the law. It claims it’s bipartisan and objective, yet it has repeatedly shown it is an agenda-driven legal advocacy group that frequently categorizes organizations with ideological differences as hate groups. To have such authority while exhibiting hyperpartisanship is dangerous. This is especially true since the SPLC assists the FBI in identifying supposed hate groups or organizations.
Consider some of the SPLC’s recent initiatives. When its employees weren’t allegedly torching police training centers, the SPLC claimed that some Catholics threatened national security. Reports showed they classified some worshippers as “radical-traditional Catholics” and encouraged the FBI to monitor them through “the development of sources with access,” including in “places of worship,” mainly because the SPLC had them on their list of “hate groups.”
Yet, while they have no problems accusing others of “hate,” it doesn’t appear that they hold themselves to those same standards. Regarding Jurgens’s alleged terrorism, the SPLC denied wrongdoing and blamed the police officers for being too aggressive. It’s indicative of their hypocrisy and double standards. The SPLC will use words to demonstrate some organization is dangerous, but when one of their own allegedly participated in actual domestic terrorism, they denied any wrongdoing, claimed he was peacefully protesting, and blamed police officers.
An Atlanta attorney for the SPLC blasted the department for taking action, claiming that Jurgens was an innocent bystander who was the victim of “heavy-handed law enforcement intervention against protesters.” Apparently, arresting people who are throwing Molotov cocktails was too aggressive. It’s an absurd claim, and this plausible deniability and gaslighting are indicative of why the organization should not be trusted, especially by groups like the FBI.
Everyone should be skeptical of the group’s claims, given their penchant for supporting left-wing political ideologies. They lack an objective agenda and have a substantial conflict of interest in their work.
