Nicola Sturgeon couldn’t square the circle of gender ideology, and neither can anyone else

Are so-called “trans-women” women? Of course not. No one with a brain believes that — although many people with brains will say it out loud repeatedly due to peer pressure.
“Trans-women” are men who not only take on feminine affectations but also claim a belief that they have a different gender than science shows they have.

That may sound harsh, but it’s the only rational explanation of the phenomenon. Because the contradictions of transgenderism are simply too large to accept unless you deliberately play dumb — and even then, if you’re put on the spot, you end up where soon-to-be-former Scottish National Party leader Nicola Sturgeon is. This far-left leader has been forced out of her party leadership position in large part because of her whole-hog buy-in on gender ideology. It turns out that this doesn’t work in real life.
Last month, Sturgeon gave a train-wreck of an interview to ITV in which she struggled to explain how her Scottish government could justify proposing a policy that would keep men who claim to be women out of women’s prisons in Scotland. This policy came forward in response to two high-profile cases in which male rapists, who still possess male genitalia and everything, claimed to identify as women and then were actually transferred into women’s prisons by credulous officials.
The public reaction to this outrage was great enough that Sturgeon was actually forced to answer questions about transgenderism on camera. And her inability to answer simple questions is … wow, cringe-worthy. Just watch it:

The inability to give straight answers is not Sturgeon’s fault. It is symptomatic of the contradictions of the fringe gender ideology that created the concept of transgenderism. Unless you can bring yourself to believe contradictory things at the same time, you cannot buy into the idea that “all trans-women are women,” as Sturgeon herself put it at one point. Her own government was forced by reality to recognize a distinction between women on the one hand and male rapists of women claiming to be women on the other.

How can such a difference exist? There is only one answer — the one Sturgeon absolutely cannot give, that men cannot become women.
Where Sturgeon failed to reconcile two contradictory beliefs, no one else will succeed.
