Former President Donald Trump appears to have gotten played by attention-seekers Kanye West, Nick Fuentes, and Milo Yiannopoulos last week. It is unclear what Trump was told about the dinner at Mar-a-Lago with the three provocateurs, but it does seem as though West, who now goes by Ye, Fuentes, and Yiannopoulos had every intention of using the dinner to embarrass the 76-year-old businessman.

As Byron York recapped, soon after the dinner, both Ye and Fuentes posted videos claiming that they went to the dinner with intention of asking Trump not to run for president in 2024 and endorse Ye instead.

“I think the thing that Trump was most perturbed about was me asking him to be my vice president,” Ye said in the post-meeting video. “When Trump started basically screaming at me at the table, telling me I was going to lose. … I’m like, ‘Hold on, hold on, hold on, Trump — you’re talking to Ye.'”

In his video, Fuentes said, “We need a courageous, fearless, visionary leader with a mind toward fundamentally transforming and sanctifying American society. There is one person who is speaking with that language, and it isn’t Donald Trump.”

“I love Trump,” Fuentes continued. “And I invite the president to be a part of it because I do love him. I really do. And I love Ye. It will be very exciting to see what he’s got working in the future.”

Ye and Fuentes aren’t the only ones who think Trump is old news. Just check out this comparison of Trump Google searches over the past seven years.

When Trump announced his presidential run in the summer of 2015, interest in his name peaked at 28. This time, his announcement only bounced him up to 9, which barely ties him with Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-FL), who hasn’t even announced his intention to run.

It’s not a good sign for Trump that not only are grifters using him for attention, but they are openly dissing him in the process.
