A Las Vegas event described as a “private reception” with Kyle Rittenhouse was called off on Monday.

Rittenhouse had promoted the event on social media and told his followers they “are not going to wanna miss out on this one!”

“Open bar and food,” a post from Rittenhouse read. “First come, first serve!”

The event was slated to be held Wednesday at the Venetian’s The Oak Room inside the casino’s Grand Canal Shoppes, according to a report.

However, a statement from the Grand Canal Shoppes on Monday informed the public that the venue would no longer be hosting the event.

“Our tenant informed us that they have canceled the event,” the statement read.

“We do not speak on behalf of our tenants, but want to emphasize this event did not align with our property’s core event guidelines.”

Rittenhouse shot and killed two people during the 2020 riots in Kenosha, Wisconsin, days after the August shooting of Jacob Blake, a black man, by police.

He was found not guilty on all charges in the homicide trial against him on Nov. 19, 2021, and he has maintained that his actions were necessary for self-defense.
